GASSERS, GASSERS AND MORE GASSERS
I just took one of my '55 Bel Airs from the September 2013 KIR race apart tonight. I also started to file some parts of a stock Bel-Air base to get it to fit. This should be a fun race!
One of my favorite new castings. I have a hard time not grabbing one every time I see one on the pegs. Count me in!
I guess I have got any scenario covered then - up to 4 now!
So rivets must be drilled, and does it have to be a Gasser?
jeepers creepers, does start with, and do what you want to, a '55 bel-air gasser not say it all... cut 'em n' run 'em !
oh the possibilities...
digging' it !

You forget that, with me, "do what you want to" in the diecast world sometimes means "don't do anything to." However, since I don't think I have any fast Bel-Aires (let alone Bel-Aire Gassers), I'd probably end up doing what you want me to do to it anyway. Should be fun if I can find the time--I don't think I've ever built a Gasser before. (Gulp.)
you know what i do... but...it's any thing "you" want... maybe drill the rivets on the gasser, pull the car apart, separate the grill and the dash sections from the mill, file and stuff the dual quad mill into something you have that is fast... keep it under 57 grams...you will have "drilled the bel-air's rivets" and used "some of it's parts", [ passes tech]...
.
GO GASSERS GO !
If I can dig up some Bel-Aires, I'll see what I can do. I've got a couple nice ones--one's red and one's purple--that have transparent hoods; maybe I can find them and rip them up a bit.
whoa... clear hood = '53 chebby ... not '55 gasser...
# on the bottom right corner of card = 190/250
anything you can do with a '55 bel-air gasser... body or base or engine / interior...
