How do you handle odd number or indivisible entry totals?
Curious how you handle a race tournament with an odd number of entries, prime number, or a number not easily divisible by 4 (which seems to be the most common number of cars per race/round).
So, what is your race format with, say 31 entries? Or 14? 14 is not divisible by 4 and, if you race 2 at a time then your next round is an odd number.
Is 4 the best number of cars to race? Any problems with 6 or 8 in a single race? What about odd number in a race like 5 or 7?
Thanks for your input. Love all the racing and community input I've seen here. I'm watching, listening, and learning. Hoping to start building a track soon.

A few options i use / have used:
-add a number of my own cars
-wild card / second chance groups
-extra eliminations
Papa Pugsley at Man Child Motorsports has a neat way of sorting something like that out. He'd run time trials, and the top X qualifiers would get a bye. So if he has 27/32 entries the top 5 would get first round byes. Actually, let me just link the video and let the man himself explain it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=6350ew8_YWA
