Humble beginnings with Kingjester

Kingjester Sunday, 6/18/2023

Hello there diecasters, with me now firmly in this hobby I thought I would just talk about why I got started and how my beginning has been so today you'll be hearing from the 17 year old behind the mask Jose ayala or as I've been going by in this community,Kingjester.

I initially started this hobby thanks to 3dbotmakers king of the mountain, before hand 3d in general was my introduction into modified diecast racing and beforehand I was always curious about whether or not I should try so cut to October with the driver call in for king of the mountain season 4 I decdied I'll give it try.So was the birth of my very first mods my 1987 ford sierra cosworth and 1987 Buick Regal GNX and being my first attempts at modifying they weren't the greatest, the Buick not qualifying because I didn't secure the front axles and the ford cosworth getting dunked on in tournament 1 qualifying race 15.Initially I was wondering what to do after kotm when I sent in my entries but then weeks later I discovered this forum and so diecaster in me was reinvigorated

Months later while I am still a rookie all things considered I have learned and improved on how I modify my cars and more importantly I've taken a shot at other competitions such as my recent performance at 905 diecasts wheelie big race and M.C.R race wars 2 ranking in at #20 out of 48 teams.Overall while im still learning this hobby has really given me something to do in my free time and I've gotten to interact with so many great people.I can't wait to see what else I can do in the future and even if it takes a while I know eventually with enough hard work I'll get my first big win.

Kingjester signing out and I hope everyone has a good laugh and a jolly good day

I love your enthusiasm. It took me a long time to even be competetive, I think that's because I was so excited to get into this sport, I did little research at first and got humbled many times.

I am finally more competitive, but a long way to go to be consistent in challenging the likes of R-Lo, Numbskull, Sam Haul... and many other master builders. But that is part of the fun and excitement, to go against so many others in a race. Makes a victory as sweet as honey! Best of luck to you, I'm sure I'll see you on tthe track!

  • Yes it will certainly be a road to even compete with the top competitors in this community but I’ll keep on trying regardless of how many L’s I take,at the end of the day all I want is a good race. You’ll be sure to see me on the track for your classic sports car tournament — Kingjester
  • Totally.... it's all about the racing! I'm amped to see your build bro'! — G_ForceRacing

Like many builders here...it was the Pandemic that really got me going...my first cars went to HotCarTracks Road Warriors Season3, and Chaos Canyon's Outlaws...I've had my fair share of being humbled...but that just fuels the want to master the track...Monster Motorsports track seems to constantly kick my ass (even when I think I know how to build for it)...the first win will come for you...keep it up and eventually magic will happen...also...learn the secrets of the Numbskull... the dude is the Michael Shumacher of Diecast...

  • Yeah we all start somewhere but what matters is that 1. We enjoy doing what we do and 2. You get better as time goes on, and even if I don’t win at the end of the day all I want to do is deliver a good race, like my performance during round 1 of the wheelie big race. — Kingjester

Awesome and Welcome to Legal Street racing! It's a Blast, just to see my cars run the Tracks is a Great enjoyment. Trial and Error is the order of the Day. some Great guys here and lots of information to tap into. Haven't even placed yet but i Think my car's are getting competive and they look Dang good going down the track, and Good even when getting Smacked and flying off the Track.

See you on the Track!

Hi racers!!!

Totally agree with the Crazy Canuck, failure in a particular track just fuels up the desire to dominate it . I'm kinda new to this era of diecast racing since I used to do drags back in the early 2ks,  actually my drag racing is horrible ( you can ask Flips on that) but again that fuels up the desire to dominate, keep trying and you will se the improvement in your builds and their performance!!! See you at  the tracks!!!
