Idea for a race
"The Redline Derby Horsepower Challenge"
Named after the K & N Horsepower challenge, (Pro Stock Race) this race (or series) will be for Pro Stock cars only. Entries require these features on the car's body: Stretched nose, hood scoop, parachute pack, rear wing, wheelie bar, large sponsor logo on side, contingency stickers.
Restrictions:
- Must be a Pro Stock casting from any era (any brand acceptable)
- Must use appropriate looking wheels (Google Pro Stock if you need an example)
- Must have hood scoop
- Must have wing
- Must have "pro stock nose"
- Must have wheelie bar
- Must have at least 1 large sponsor logo on doors
- Weight limit 60g
- Dry lubes only

There's actually quite a few:
HW '10 Camaro Pro Stock, JL '08 Cobalt Pro Stock, Racing Champions '05 Grand Am Pro Stock, HW Firebird Pro Stock, Racing Champions '99 Oldsmobile Pro Stock, etc. Just type in "1/64 scale Pro Stock" on eBay. Lots of options.
OK, how about we scratch the modern (long nose) body rule, and allow any era of Pro Stock cars instead to open up the field? And yes, I will allow other wheel styles after all.
My bad. For some reason I thought your rules read the car had to have a "long nose". Thanks for the info on the other brands.
- Originally I was requiring long nosed modern Pro Stocks, but I will allow short nosed Vintage Pro Stocks also — KandORacing
I love Pro Stock but I can't think of too many castings with a long nose. Funny cars yes. The only one I can think of is the Hot Wheels Camaro. Johnny Lightning has some but most don't have the long nose. Can't think of any others right now.
