Race format and scoring
This will be a double elimination tournament with a slight twist. The 1st Round will be a one-and-done race. Winners move on and the losers fall into the 2nd Chance bracket. From there, the Winner's bracket will continue to be a one-and-done race while the 2nd Chance bracket runs 2 races, swapping lanes each time with the fastest time of those 2 runs moving on. If you lose out in this 2nd Chance bracket you are officially eliminated from competition. For the Finals, we will run a best 4-out-of-7 series, switching lanes every time until we get a winner.
Seeding
There will be NO qualifying rounds for this tournament. Matchups will be random for the 1st Round and for the 1st Round of the 2nd Chance bracket ONLY. Since each racer will have 2 cars I will assign each car to the top 24 and the bottom 24 side of the 1st Round bracket so they don't run each other at the start. After that, you race whoever is in front of you as you move on. This goes for both brackets. Below is my youtube channel link where you will find how the tournament format will work. For further detail about the format go to minute 12:30-13:30 of Rotors vs Pistons:

Penalties/DNF
Cars are given a grace of 0.99g (65.99g) over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.
If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will still race. Finish position and any prize will go to the runner-up in the case of the penalty car winning.
Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.
Prizes
Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd!
