Looking for a writer, intro to mail-in racing
Redline Derby has attracted quite a few new members over the past couple months and I've been reading that many of them are looking to get involved with mail-in tournaments (especially while the Fantasy League is in the off-season). And while there is a TON of information scattered throughout the forum, we're lacking a good "Mail-in Tournaments 101" type post - how to get started in racing, first mod stuff, and things to consider about off-site tournaments.
And as you all are much more involved with mail-in tournaments than I am, I'm looking for someone to step up and write a post about getting started - maybe your story about how you got started - probably should include links to threads or other articles but otherwise a good overview of information about mail-in racing.
Doesn't have to be Shakespeare or War & Peace, just a good write-up that can live here in the forum but one I will also post in the RLD Blog so it has a more permanent and easy-to-find home, as well as being a shining beacon for those searching the internets.
PM me or post here if you're interested.
Discussion
I would also be interested in contributing,...a collaboration, perhaps?
Those were the two I was thinking of. Thanks guys.
It's looking like we are going to have one helluva "Intro Into Mail-In Racing"!
Maybe we could work out an outline? Some speaking points and what not?
Things that should be included.
Who, what where, when, why, how, ect...
I can help edit it if you want.
If nobody else steps up I'll take a stab at it.
