Mazda RX-7 Challenge, 64 car race.

Mazda RX-7s only. This race was inspired from my 1st entry to 3Dbotmaker at KotM season 4 race 2. Johnny Smoke, my Mazda RX-7 FC3-S. See if you can beat Johnny Smoke on his own track.

Rules & restrictions

• Modified entries only. Any Mazda RX-7, any year. Too many Mazdas to list.
• 75g maximum weight. Lighter cars tend to react faster to track changes.
• 3.25in. long x 2in. tall x 1.25in. wide, track accepts Matchbox and Hot Wheels.
• Limit 1 entry per household.
• Retail axles and wheels only. Wheel swaps allowed. This means they must come from the original RX-7 or a different "Store Bought" car. No rubber tires. They do not go fast. No tubes and pins. I shall inspect.
• Dry lube only. This is a must. Any entry dripping on the track shall be DQ'd and the Hazmat team will be called out to clean up the mess.
• Entries must look professionally painted. If you cannot then original paint is allowed. Must have an easily identifiable decal or number or name. i.e SST, or 99, or Johnny Smoke
• Small special Plastic boxes will be returned as it is only 1 car per house. Cars will be Triple bubble wrapped and returned.
• Window tint optional but encouraged. Makes a better looking entry. We all know there are weights in the cars.
• NO shaving the metal body or wheel wells. Plastic shaving is ok. No shaving needed on this track.
• I suggest NOT to sand the wheels slick, They will spin out. Do what you want.
• Again, any Mazda RX-7, Any year/style welcomed.

• Host may change the race format depending on amount of entries received.
• Host has final decision on all races.

Dates & deadlines

All entries must be received by the host end of day Tuesday, 9/15/2026. exceptions allowed but limited. Racing is scheduled for Tuesday, 9/22/2026. Races will be posted on or after that date as is convenient for the host on YouTube.

How to enter

Contact the tournament host at SSTDIECASTRACING@SC.RR.COM to get the shipping address for entry. Copy and paste the entire email. Do not use a computer generated link. Include at least $10.00 for return shipping if you want your entries back. Entries not getting returned will be kept.

Race format and scoring

This will be a double-elimination race. 4 cars at a time. Scoring shall be 5,3,2,1 and 0 for a DNF. I hope to get 64 entries. Lets go.

Penalties/DNF

Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.

If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will still race IF NEEDED to keep a 4 car race. Finish position and any prize will go to the runner-up in the case of the penalty car winning.

Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will try to be repaired by Host but Not replaced.

Prizes

There will be 3 trophies for the winners and 1 for best in show. Selected by Jazzy and Jamie.
