Middleweight Challenge II (Feb 9 Series Start)
ya, well, worpex calls the 1st edition way 2 fast his FTE killer !... GO FRED GO !
Are trucks legal for this race?
Trucks are fine. The biggest rule of this race is that the cars/trucks weigh 57 grams or less.
Yes, that Vista Cruiser is very cool. Jobe entered one in one of the Gasser races a while back as well. I like that Stocker also.
34 cars so far ....WOW!
That is a lot of Hot Wheels! I am still testing and tuning. I don't have a stash to dig into so I am stuck with what I can find on the shelves. I picked these two up today.
They have big wheels and roll good. The 69 Chevelle has a heavy metal base and big wheels and the Repo Duty has big wheels and lots of room to add weight so we will see. I am also working on a Mazda Furai with a custom metal base but that is going to depend on if I can get the axles good and straight. Either way this should be fun.

You should add about 3/4 oz to the Chevelle too.

I already added 1/2 oz but if you say 3/4 so be it. Think it will be a contender?
. . . Think it will be a contender?
Big wheels are good but long wheelbase is better. IMO the Cadillac V16 is the best thing hanging on the pegs now and maybe the Tahoe. There may be some quick 'fantasy' cars out there, but that just ain't right!

I had those two in my hand and just didn't like them. Might have to pick up the Caddy. How does the longer wheelbase help.

I'll let Smitty explain Lesson #17, he loves those long wheelbase jobs!
oh no carl, i think the competition should run the shortest wheelbase they can !
oooo Speed Bump FTE...those are pretty quick.
