I think perhaps the longer wheelbase somehow helps them go straight. The less time you spend banging off the walls the more time you spend winning.

It seems there is no one correct way of doing things, but somehow different combinations seem to work. I once in a while, stumble across one of these combinations and wind up with a fast car. Don't ask me how...

Agreed, in my limited experience.... I usually look for cars with bent axles or some damage to Modify. The other day I came across a 70 Dodge Road Runner axles were very bent and tweaked, but it still seemed to roll ok so I put it on the track....It turned out to be pretty fast.
One of my fastest cars has a wheel that almost flops on the axle. I keep wanting to switch out the wheels and make it "faster", but it's so fast now I'm afraid I'll only go backwards. as in go slower. I really don't think it will go backwards id I change the wheels).
So basically its a little science and a lot of luck. I guess I will use the Chevelle and pick one of the others I have and throw them in the mail and see what happens.
