And by the way--the Middleweights just arrived in the mail today. They'll probably race this weekend, but I'll let you know if it's sooner. It could even be later today, given the sudden dog-walk-interrupting storm.

Never mind. Not tonight.

Possibly tomorrow.
Now, I brought this up once before, and I don't think I got an answer...so here's my thought: At FOTF Speedway, we traditionally race double-elimination. We could whip out 46-some-odd cars in a heartbeat. Okay, maybe ten heartbeats.
Anyway, how does 1 pt for a Winner's Bracket win and .5 pt for a Loser's Bracket win sound, with a tournament seeded based on current point standings, sound?

Sounds good to me.

Great! If my cold feels up to it later, we'll do just that.

That's a lot of racing -should make things interesting though.

have to add another gallon of gas for the sloppies... they haven't used much this series.

We'll be doing more racing than that this afternoon--lots of new cars to test.
Don't worry, Smitty, I'm sure the Boogie Vans can spare a few.

I agree, but why leave "well enough" alone!

alone!

I know I'm a newbie here but I agree. Cameron, I know you guys like to do double elimination racing but you and Smitty are the last two races. Seven others were run single elimination, which is what this race was set up as. I don't know if the extra .5 point someone gets from the loser's bracket will make a big difference or if it will influence some points on the leader board. It wouldn't be right if someone that lost in the first round and would be eliminated has a second chance and racks up a couple of points and leap frogs the guy in front of him in points. I'd leave "well enough" alone and just wait for a double elimination tournament.
Just my two cents.

If people don't want double-elimination, I won't do it. Nobody would be any more or less likely to unfairly rack points than anyone else, even less so with the seedings.
Anyway, 1; I appreciate your opinions, but I think TLD is in charge of this, and 2; I feel like crap today from this cold so the racing will not happen this evening. Sorry to keep jumping around on the time of the racing.

Here'e my 2 cents

I think the double elimination would be fun for those whose car's dont see many wins. I always say, "the more racing, the better". As for scoring and points, I think they should remain constant throughout the series. What I'm suggesting is...

Race double elimination, but I'll make sure its scored only in the winners bracket.

Does that sound all right to everyone?
