Middleweight Challenge ll questions

Dadvball Tuesday, 2/12/2013

Even though I don't host the race until March, and it being the very first one I'm hosting, I have a few questions and I'd rather start asking now than wait until the last minute. Hopefully they make sense to you seasoned guys. With the high number of entrants I just don't want to have any issues on my maiden voyage. Plus, if anyone else hosting a race for the first time has questions feel free to ask them here as it can only help everyone.

How did you print off the bracket form from the site without the huge "SAMPLE" spread across the page? I did everything, or so I thought, I was supposed to do, including installing the Adobe read program. It said it wouldn't show up when printed, but I have about 5 copies that prove otherwise. I want to make copies of each of the completed race brackets for reference and to hopefully keep from repeating races in the first round.

How do you decide which cars go into which bracket so A bracket gets to race against B bracket at some point, and still keep someone from racing themselves in the same bracket?

As I come up with other questions I'll post them here. Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you.

Everyone has their own way to do it, here's mine:
To keep someone from racing themselves in the same bracket divide all of the cars up. "A" bracket has one car from each owner and "B" bracket has the other. I use http://www.random.org/ to 'seed' the cars on the bracket by assigning each car a random number then puting them on the brackets in numerical order.

Hopefully this all makes sence, if not let me know. And last but by all means not least you have to have fun racing the cars. Don't sweat the petty stuff (and vice versa! ).

When I started the races last weekend I didn't have a printer at the track so I took a picture of the screen and the "Sample" of course was on there. When I got home. I found the #bracket and clicked it. Then I think I clicked it again and it opened as a PDF file. I printed it from there and there was no "SAMPLE" on the paper.

Diecast Cars, Hot Wheels, Matchbox Maybe a dumb question, but are we racing best 2 outta 3 per round or 1 run and out? I figure 2 outta 3 is the normal but it don't hurt to make sure before I host this race.

I think that's more or less the regular. It's up to each race host.

Personally I go with the best two out of three, but the winning car has to win two consecutive races while swithing lanes each race. So it can go on longer than three sometimes. But it's worth it!
