Monster Trucks

Stroller Monday, 3/3/2014

Has anybody ever tried to run a monster truck race yet...

I tried running 10 different monster trucks on my blu track, one at a time. Only 2 made it all the way to the end..........

I was thinking the one that goes the furthest would win. I could even add some hills to make it more of a challenge...

Ideas...feedback....critiques...

The vehicles should be HW with a length of 3.5 inches this measuring from the front of the front tire to the back of the back tire.

Height 2.5 inches. Width 2.5 inches includes tires. Tires should be 1.5 inches diameter by .75 inches wide. (Standard HW Monster Truck Tires)

I have trucks to enter and if you want another venue I have an open lane - down hill run with two hills that i can set up.

That sounds cool. If this starts you can host a venue.... New info above.

Sometime last year I came across a video, can't remember where, of someone racing HW monster trucks on the 6-lane track. Pieces of orange track were used to extend the 6 lane slightly into a jump. The trucks landed and then went through the 6 lane finish line. The guy ran the middle 4 lanes as each truck needed two lanes. Looked to me like they ran really well.
Just wish I could remember where I saw it. I'll try to find it and post the link if I do.

I do have a six lane setup also and if I remember right they did run pretty good on that set up. Blu track isn't right for everything. I will do some six lane testing tomorrow, but I think you are right............

They will not fit under the 6 lane finish line - unless you raise it up!

We have raced them on the four lane HW track and added a jump for them over some cars.

Took our two best to see if they would make it down the 50 foot league track, but they track widths didn't match up with the monster truck wheels.

Okay I tested the trucks I have in an 8 truck sudden death tournament. One run each race.....
None of the track was fastened down. The finishing gate was raised 3/4 of an inch and worked great.

Enjoy....

Diecast Cars, Hot Wheels, Matchbox

I tried running this video from here it seemed to need buffering a lot. It might be my computer or a bad connection.

The trucks rolled fine and none left the track...

...and I made a mistake and had Reptoid run in the semi finals....fear of lizards....I guess.....
