My new Customs/ Modifieds
Been working over the last few nights on some new rides. Come just for fun, resurrecting oldies and others for a little racing action...
Mighty Maverick brought back to life with 2011 wheels, rolls really well and is pretty hefty
2011 Copo Vette on a Passin' Gasser chassis, sweet!
58 Vette with an engine from a Madfast and custom Nascar type racing wheels, love the yellow letter tires...mean!
Cool little Duece coupe rod I repainted metallic purple, white interior and new wheels...was a pretty ugly color
Mustang with wheels from a Matchbox police car, and a little weight thrown in.
Bluebird with FTE's and a little weight...watch out for this one!
Have a few others I'm wrapping up and I did some repairs/rebuilds on a few of my older modifieds.
Enjoy!

Definitely a workspace to add to last year's article...

A Dremel is the modder's Excalibur.

BTW, love that Vette with the blown engine. I love the Datson model but can't stand that yellow paint job that came out of the blister. I need to make a super mod of the Bluebird with FTEs and weight...I think it would be a demon.
I had planned on painting the Blue Bird satin black, but it was below freezing out. Might still get painted.
Great work Jobe!
I really like that Maverick. Is that a car from your childhood?
The Vette / Gasser combo is indeed sweet! How did you get the chasis and body to line up?
I happen to like the yellow on the Datsun. With FTE and weight added, I bet it flies.
Thanks!
Not sure about the Maverick, might have been a left over from childhood or might have come in a box of cars I bought many years ago....Not sure if you noticed but it's missing the A pillar on the passenger side!
Got lucky with the vette/gasser. The wheels from the Vette are on the Maverick. I had a Passin' Gasser chassis sitting in my parts bin and whammo...they lined up pretty well. Cut the front bumper off the vette chassis and had to chop the top of the engine and roll cage a bit.
Need to pull out the track and test them, haven't had the time or space lately.
Looks like I'm gonna have to do my homework before I come down there, lol
