New dollar tree BLUE track!

RT_Race_Technology Saturday, 5/9/2026

So I came across this knockoff hotwheels-style track at dollar tree but in BLUE. Each pack comes with 4 track pieces each measuring 2ft long so 4ft total per pack for $1.75. I HAD to try it. Too good of a deal to pass up plus it's blue! So I bought about 28ft worth of track to test it out and I gotta say it works really well! Cars were not clipping the connectors, it has a smooth surface and considering how cheap they are they feel about the same as regular orange track in terms of construction. You can use official Hotwheels connectors as well if you want a completely blue track, totally compatible in that sense. Overall, I think this is a huge win for track builders out there. I already have seamless lanes for my drag strip but this is a solid and cheap alternative!

Interesting, is it soft and pliable like traditional orange track or is it hard and rigid? The fact that it accepts Mattel's track connectorsis a plus, although I'm sure Mattel's legal team will be all over this eventually. They've sued other manufactures over similar track issues in the past. In the mean time, get `em while the gettin' is good!

  • Would a legally dissimilar connector alone have been enough to protect this other manufacturer? Does the same thing, but designed otherwise? — Chris_Hood

Mattel: How dare you make our product, but BETTER?

Says the company who includes precious little actual TRACK in their playsets these days. I'll have to agree with GspeedR in his prognostications

  • Especially now that HW came up with new designs for their tracks which I hate lol — RT_Race_Technology

Bought 12' a couple days ago, races just fine. The connectors are light and weak but still work. The track itself is competitive with dollar tree orange track. The launcher is 50/50 but with a little practice you would figure it out. Batman's boat in the orange lane. 2 thumbs up and yes I will be buying more.

I'm not a litigious person so talk about suing sucks the air out of the room for me.

  • hw may drop the orange, they made that red track. could have sold lic. to the producer, no HW logos. just like only a few oil filter mfg co's, but lots of other names, and wix makes all the bucks. I'd bet more hw track is sold thru dollars than anywhere else — dr_dodge

Thanks for posting this! Just picked up enough to make a 24" track. Works great! Now I finally have something to test my cars on!

  • Nice! That's what I did while I was rebuilding the Mountian, built a 2 lane 21ft long drag strip. — JBlotner42

I may have to get that so I can have one orange and one blue lane....

  • I put fresh track on both sides. My experiment begins. — alva1370

I wish some company would just make tracks and TURNS. Thanks for this.

Just found some blues while I was car hunting at an across-town Tree and picked up 8 packs.
Went with the four track/four connector packs(no launcher).
Twice as much track for the same price as the two and two Hot Wheels track?  Yes, please!

I looked at 3 stores for it back on the 12th of May.  None to be had, and the one store that showed it in stock online said they didn't have it.

Might have gone for online purchase, but it won't let me ship to store  and delivery seemed a bit steep.
