New to Diecast Racing
Hello all, my names Dan!
Just wanted to introduce myself, I have been collecting Hot Wheels for almost 30 years, since my son was born in '95. I never really got into diecast racing since it wasn't as huge a scene back in the 90's and early 00's but I did run a lot of zinger tracks set up with my son over the years!
Recently I saw a bunch of videos on YouTube while browsing for Hot Wheels videos for my grandson and I was blown away! It was amazing seeing how far diecast racing has come along!
After stumbling across this website I saw an opportunity for myself to learn and try my hand at diecast racing. I am going to do my research and hopefully enter into a tournament in the near future!
Thanks for all the past articles and information provided by seasoned veterans! It helps guys like me who are brand new and clueless!

Every step in building a car, practise with castings you don't exactly cherish. Those are the best to learn on rather than destroy a potential racer. Time to buy a 20 pack or two! Lots of fodder there for the skill building since as a long time aficionado your garage now must be valuable to you
Poke around in the relevant areas here, you'll find answers to questions fast and more than a new racer could expect
Welcome, Bienvenue, Welkommen!!
- Appreciate it! I have a pretty large collection from over the years so I have some potential racers hopefully! I'll definitely practice on some less desirable castings! — Honeycreek_Diecast

Welcome to RLD! It's a great community and there is a load of valuable information and tips to be found here! I'm fairly new myself but I've learned a lot since joining! Hopefully you do too! Best of luck! ????

Welcome to RedlineDerby! Glad to have new guys around. Ask questions if you have them.....the people around here won't probably tell you their exact "secret sauce" but they are more than helpful to newcomers. Look forward to seeing you on the track!
