On the bench
Can I send a car to someone to have it modified?
- not that I know of, just gonna have to drill some rivots for yourself, plenty if info here on how to do it, and welcome! — dr_dodge
- I started this crazy hobby about 10 months ago having never touched a single hot wheels car before in my 68 years on this rock. I started by entering stock cars in events and gaining experience. Buy a few cars, buy some graphite and jump in. — AbbyNormal
- Send me your Address by PM and I will send a few cars your way that are already drilled and have screws, some are painted and just need finished modding. Give you a few to play with. — Bent_Rod_Racing
- Bent Rod.....way to go my friend! That is a great idea! — Dutch_Clutch_Racing

Here is my Corvette C8 R with final clear coat over the decals. Getting ready for the Tiny Track GT party. Pretty happy on how it turned out, but I cannot touch it for another six hours. That's the part. I really hate.
- I still say....put 'em in the airfryer for a baked on finish and speed up production time. — Dutch_Clutch_Racing
- Well, let’s just say this car is already had some challenges and the last thing I wanted to do is put a thumbprint in the clearcoat. So I’ll leave it in the easy. Bake oven for a few hours. — AbbyNormal
- Im buying a dehydrator next month off amazon ofr a buck twenty nine.. I watch this guy do his cars and it is a sweet set up. I bought all the parts to build one like another tuber did but the timer is costly... — Desert_Rat_Racing

This Baja breaker is not going anywhere as of now, but I've had it in my collection for awhile and now I'm finally gonna modify it and, when the opportunity presents itself, send it to a tournament.

I accidentally posted this originally in the wrong place (rookie mistake) I'm getting the Tooned 911 together for Triple Track Challenge Tooned Edition, used some drywall mesh as NASCAR style mesh safety window... I think it's going to turn out kinda cool!
- I have yet to buy or try any of the tooned cars —- any recommendations? — AbbyNormal
- Greg....If I haven't said something before - Welcome to RedlineDerby fairly newcomer - great little idea with the drywall mesh! Cool! — Dutch_Clutch_Racing
- AbbyNormal I haven’t raced one yet this will be the first, I’ve done a few wheel swaps though, I would say grab a few open them up roll them around I think you’ll like them… at first I wasn’t a fan but they’ve grown on me tbh — Greg_B
- Dutch-Clutch thanks for the welcome! I’m happy to be here & potentially compete with you all — Greg_B

Go retro or go max speed. That is the question. Working on this Kenner turbo tram and I can tell you the room for lead is limited. It's pretty clear that if I leave the pilot in it will be underweight. Or I could pull the pilot drop in more weight paint the canopy and call it a day.
Have to think about that for a day or two. Part of me says this is a land speed record kind of vehicle so going for max speed would be the thing to do. Hmm
Here it is with a new set of wheels temp glued in for testing -------
