I'd like to get a Noodlehead, I hear they're fast, but really old and expensive; however, my favorite would have to be the Cadillac V-16. I know it sounds like a lame choice, but it was my first champion and it will always be my favorite car.....even if it did get smoked in the mail-in race, lol.

By the way, if you're looking at the tournament results for the Rabbit Race, I'm sure you noticed that the v16 just smoked the competition. It even beat the Land Rover in a 2-0 decisive victory.

From my (rather small) collection, I'm strangely drawn to Bassline. In theory I think it could do well in a race, with its decent weight and wheel position
However, the undisputed legend of my childhood is a Maisto BMW 850i in maroon, which has about half its paint remaining Wheels still spinning though

Off the top of my head is the Dixie Challenger, as I actually remember it from my childhood.

Number two on the list would be the airport firetruck, which I still have in pretty good condition.

Love the Dixie Challenger Brian! I'd never seen the Bassline before today, but it does look like it might be fast.

My all time favorite growing up had to be the "Smokey and the Bandit" '77 Trans Am I got in a three pack when I was a kid. It must have come out right after the movie which was also a childhood favorite. Go Burt Reynolds!!

It was also my fastest racer for quite some time and even when it began to slow down, I'd hit it with some dry graphite to keep it competitive. It was a sad day when it began to descend in speed and give up it's racing crown to a younger Hot Wheel

Touching story JDC Yeah I was quite surprised not to see Bassline in "The Lot" actually...
Recently though I've noticed the beauty of the muscle cars from '67-'71. The Camaros, Mustangs, Novas, Pontiacs are really something to behold

OH man, I totally had one of those as a kid. My brother and I were just relentless in destroying the HW's as we got older though.

Didn't that Airport Firetruck come in a three pack along with a Chevy Citation, 67 Camaro and a collector book?

I don't remember where or when I got it. Check the Hot Wheels wiki, it probably tells how it was packaged. I just know it's one of maybe two that survived my childhood. Safe to say for everyone one I still have, dozens met the fate in my backyard or driveway.

I love the V-16. It's a very fast car and still somewhat of a sleeper in the general public.

I am a huge fan of the Noodleheads. My Camaro takes them out on a regular basis and at $5 a race... it adds up quick, lol.
