if it were mine ....
maybe find a same [close] wheel base, wide tracked base, cut the not needed grill / bumper and tail lights/ bumper off, [bisecting the rivet hole]... install the front FTEs under the base, reg. installation FTEs out back, hog out the rear wheel wells, cut off the caddy's grill/ front bumper and tail light/ rear bumper,[bisecting the rivet hole], later glue them on the new body/base combination... if it were mine .

this is what I use, note the small #s to the right of - (... they determine what cars race when...
loser's bracket [L before the #] tells where to place the cars as they lose...the [2] 90* passes at the top right are to determine 5/6 and 7/8 if needed...
This is a late enough start date that I should be able to get a truck ready. I will be gone the first several days to PA for a memorial service, but will still have time to build one. Not sure if I can do a host or not, will wait until I return from PA and see what kind of schedule I have from there. I will see if Red Star Racing wants to give this a try or not, seems he is getting more interested in doing some mail-ins since his first in the born series, he is learning a lesson on sending in stock ones.

Okay that sounds interesting I do have a 12foot track and now a 24foot track. I think this is the way I will go, 2 races at my track. All on one day. Video on the large track maybe....will have to test.........
