Pontiac Rageous

RobertBcfc Friday, 5/17/2019

Hi,

I posted a little while back about the Zender Fact Four to get some tips about what’s considered to be the fastest casting of that model.

I got some great feedback and now wanted to ask the same question about the Rageous.

It had ten years of hot wheels production and I wanted to see which of the models were thought to be fastest?

I know it’s never going to be a world beater, but, in your experience, which version rolls best?

Many Thanks

Rob

I find the Pontiac Banshee to be the best oddball Pontiac casting.

  • Thanks - I haven’t really looked at the Banshee. Is there a year that stands out above the rest? — RobertBcfc
  • The one from the 2011-12 Hot Ones can be quick and the 90's one is usually quick as well. — LeagueofSpeed

  • Thank you for the recommendations - they both look great, would love to see them go head to head. How does the Rageous stack up with the Banshee, even close? I didn’t know if there was a fast version that could compete? — RobertBcfc
  • I'll have to test that out...don't know if I've got a Rageous — LeagueofSpeed
  • It’s the Track Aces version I’ve heard is quite fast — RobertBcfc

About the same as the Fact 4 really. I like the future fleet 2000 casting

  • Love that, looks great in black. I managed to pick up one of the Track Aces models yesterday evening for under £10 - really pleased with that. The Future Fleet version is definitely down in the wanted list now, thanks for the tip — RobertBcfc

I classify the Rageous with cars like the Chrysler Thunderbolt....both are hardtops with plastic roofs(lower cG) and have relatively long wheelbases. The Rageous has large wheels on all 4 corners, making it a bit more versitile. I have a blue 2000 mainline version w/3sp that's usually a contender
