Redline Revival official entry thread

YES!!!
Goldenrod and Polaris are ready to roll. Aerodynamic (except for the giant engine), trained daily, lubricated with graphite, and polymer clay for weight. I tested these cars on my drag track over 30 times against other modified Redlines and 80's color changing cars. I'll send them out tomorrow unless if I happen to make one even quicker... a Prowler I have seems to have potential.

- Awesome! When are these races happening, TE? — 72_Chevy_C10
- Good clean street racing. Don't get no better than this! — Nightstalker
- Yes! — JDC442
- @ C-10 I was hoping for a few more original Reds to show up... but these will race same day as everyone else, but will show up on video 1st — Traction-Event
- Okay, cool...I didn't know if you were running these earlier or not :) — 72_Chevy_C10
Okay, I'm going to show that I'm not a collector again...what do ASW and AMW stand for? For those of us that don't speak 'Hot Wheels'? :)
- All Small Wheels and All Medium Wheels? — JDC442
- ding ding... JDC guessed correct. — Traction-Event
- It's a different language :) — 72_Chevy_C10
I forgot to take a finished photo, but this is what I started with. The portion of the car behind opening hood was missing. I cut that portion out of the donor car you see. Also took the front and rear "glass". Ended up leaving out the seats as they didn't fit right once I'd made the mods, hogged wheel wells, and repairs.

- CU-DA... CU-DA... CU-DA!!!! I just Loves me some 'Cuda's!!!! — CrzyTrkrDude
- How did you remove the bearing axles from the chassis — Brakefluid_Tracksurgeon
- note the lumps on the base, they pinched the double z bent axles from diff. angles. — fordman
- I ground/cut one of the posts for each axle and then pulled, yanked, twisted and cut the wires till they came out. Brute force method. — MoHasAFastCar
- Redline recyling — Traction-Event
Polaris was too slow after the final tests proved Goldenrod and Alga (rebuild of Guillaume II) the fastest in my collection. Axles loaded with graphite, rigged with weight (around 50 grams), and tested 100 times this morning, these two are ready to race. I'll mail them either today or tomorrow in a small cardboard box.
Delta 6, your cars are here... along with a pile of prize cars!
my entries went out on the 14th and usps tracking has an expected delivery date of 12/17. Clearly that did not happen as they remain "in transit" with no update since the 15th. I hope they make it....
- Me too, I was hoping I'd have all the entries by Christmas... Post office is busy. I will make sure all cars are here before any racing — Traction-Event
Where will the video be posted? Can't wait to see these cars run.
- Yeah, TE does a great job with his videos! — 72_Chevy_C10
- I will post a link or embed the video in this thread. — Traction-Event
- if I may ask a favor, please? is it possible to make them, short and sweet? — CrzyTrkrDude
- all these slo-mo videos, are eating up my family plan data. lol — CrzyTrkrDude
- I keep going over my gig's. THANKS. ;) — CrzyTrkrDude

JDC's cars have arrived, safe and sound.
