Retirement Races
Have you thought about ever having a retirement race at the end of each season to get rid of some of the dogs that will just continue to sit there because they have zero wins?
There are a few cars sitting there with an 0-9 record.

We can do a race that has a rating restriction that is low, which all zero-win cars would have. But I guess I hadn't thought much about the losers. They just sit there at the bottom of the list like losers should.
But a hand-picked loser's tournament at the end of each season could be fun, if nothing else. So we might try that next season. Good idea.
It might be fun to do a "reverse" bracket tournament...where the players try to pick the losing car, fill their brackets out to determine who loses each match up...and the losing car moves on in the tournament until a car earns the right to be considered Captain Slow.
This should probably be a "bonus" race--as it would be silly to "retire" the "winner" for the year until the championship tournament. Maybe the winner of the tournament gets sent the "winning/losing" car.

I love it! Gotta think about how to do that though...would that screw up the ratings? I don't think so, slow is slow, fast is fast...and it's all relative, so hmmmm. Maybe we'll try that for the off-season special race this next time.
I was also thinking of doing a Bumper First race, sending all the cars down the track backwards...but I like the Captain Slow tournament better.
To go one better, how about if they reach a certain loss to win ration, then they would fall into a loser's bracket and the winner gets to stay active. Maybe this could be done twice a year or once there are enough cars to finish a losers' bracket.
