Review: More Than Meets the Eye and more. 905 Diecast
Greetings all!
I thought I would write a short review of two recent events hosted and completed by 905 Diecast, aka The Crazy Canuck.
"More than Meets the eye" and the "Freezie 500."
Firstly I can say I first came across the Crazy Canuck approximately 6 years ago, when I competed with/against him at Hot Car Track "Road Warrior" Series. He has successfully competed in many, many events around the world since then and also hosted events on his bespoke built track.
So yes, these two events I competed in, are not your usual laned drags, nor open track. They offered a different challenge. One where you can get very creative with your build, (something I enjoy) but also try to work out how to keep your build competitve, fast, and straight running. Yes! some luck is needed, but the good builds usually rise up the ranks!
My, out of this world Freezie truck build was fun, but yeah, I failed to have enough ground clearance, while my Transformer build, Stockade, made it to the final, just needed a touch more speed and luck.
All good fun and enjoyed competing and seeing the wonderful builds of my mates. R Lo with a tank of a build helped us Decepticons win the day!
No sooner had I watched the Final event, the following Wednesday, mail come in?! My cars were home, complete with some appreciated surprises from the host! OMG! How fast was that! (Canada to Aus!) And I usually correspond with a host after a race to arrange any final post things. Very organised!
In a time where a host here n there, lets everyone down, :( running at 905 Diecast put a smile on my face, he delivered and delivered. He is definately "not a fly by nighter" and has been here for the long haul of being a great hobby member and someone you can correspond with easily.
Can definately recommend his events!

I also got a nice little stash from 905/Crazy Canuck, and I didnt even win a tournament! You're right, hes on the "Good List" of hosts with his communication, returns and his actual races (which are fun whether you win or lose)
Awe shucks fellas...I appreciate each and every one of yous...I've had the pleasure of meeting and having some excellent conversations with so many members of this hobby. I know the journey to get up here can be rough, so I just wanna make sure I do what I can to show how much it means to me for those who enter my races.

Definitely; 905 is one of my favorite hosts, you get to unlock your full creativity and build something new and unique every tournament. Congrats Marc, R-Lo, and Team Decepticon!
