Rookie picks, what's your favorite?

Just wondering what your take is on the list of rookie's this season? Any favorites stand out as possible winners?

I haven't raced any of these down the track yet (I like surprises too) so I'm excited to see them hit the track. History says I should probably pick a Ferrari, but I have the AMC Gremlin as my pick right now. Not only do I think it's a cool looking car but it is a heavier car and has most of its weight in the rear...I just hope the wheels/axles can hold up after the drop.

I'm sure the on FTE in the mix is the fastest but I'm not sure it will get entered all that often...or maybe it will win early and then be out of the mix anyway? Gotta think about that stuff...it's not about which rookie wins a tournament (or the whole season) just which one ends with the highest rating. Of course, I suppose the Gremlin could win early too...oh the decisions!!

Do you want real opinions or guesses? I have track time with many of the cars, but should I give away my knowledge? Give away my advantage?

I know Im not telling. I just started racing one of these cars this weekend and it flies! That is my pick.

When do you have to make this pick, before the season starts are can you do it during the season?

Rookie picks have to be made BEFORE the first tournament of the season is raced. After that, your pick is locked in and can't be changed. And you can't make a pick after the start if you didn't do so before hand. The rookie pick is all about your knowledge of cars...and some luck of the draw.

I guess never thought about rookie car knowledge as being worth the secret, but if you don't feel like sharing, we all understand Like I said, the fastest car in the pack might not be the one that ends up with the highest rating at the end of the season. I suspect that any one of the Ferrari cars will be the fastest car, maybe even a season champ, but I think they'll be retired early and won't have much chance to rack up ratings.

The key to unlocking the Rookie Pick is finding a car that will a) get entered often and b) win rounds but not win tournaments. It's kind of counter-intuitive but I think it's a interesting challenge.
