RRL Power Rankings
I wanted to start doing something fun for the people that enter the RRL races. I wanted to do a power rankings after each event. Something I want to do is highlight drivers/builders, and I thought this would be a fun way to do so after each race, rank them and give my opinion on where they stack up on my tracks only. I think it will be fun! We'll start here after CTI!
RRL POWER RANKINGS
Heading Into the AMV Challenge The Climb to Iron event gave us plenty to talk about, and with the AMV Challenge approaching, here are the latest RRL Power Rankings.
#1 - Jay Bo
Winner of Climb to Iron and arguably the most consistent driver in the field. Jay Bo has been at or near the podium at nearly every RRL event he’s entered. Fast, smooth, and always in contention, he enters the AMV Challenge as the driver everyone is chasing.
#2 - Buck Henry
Buck Henry finished second at CTI and had one of the quickest cars on the track. Smart driving and finding the right lanes when it mattered paid off. This was his first truly competitive build, and if this trend continues, Buck could become a regular threat.
#3 - Numbskull
Fourth place at CTI doesn’t tell the whole story. After surviving a brutal encounter with the infamous Pit of Despair (otherwise known as my concrete garage floor), the car fought back and dominated the six-car LCQ. Numbskull was the only driver to finish every race, scoring an impressive 31 points.
#4 - Hot Rod
Third place at CTI and driving right on the ragged edge. His aggressive style earned him the nickname “Edger” among the RRL crowd because that car was always dancing on the limit. Hot Rod is a proven racer, and we’re eager to see what he brings to the AMV Challenge.
#5 - Willie G
Willie G had the speed, but a few unfortunate breaks kept him from reaching the next round. Better lane luck and a cleaner draw could easily have landed him in the finals. The pace is there.
#6 - Goldie Hawnduh
Competing in her first major event, Goldie held her own and made an impressive run to the semifinals. Smart driving and timely moves helped overcome older equipment. With newer technology for future races, she could be even more dangerous.
#7 - Kolt Ford
One of the surprises of CTI. After spending considerable time in the RRL Speed Shop, Kolt decided to enter the action and performed admirably. His car even survived a trip into the Pit of Despair. Whether he becomes a regular competitor or remains an occasional racer remains to be seen.
#8 - Puff
Consistency was the challenge. One race, Puff looked unbeatable. The next, traction issues appeared. Despite some bad luck, the speed is there, and Puff remains a threat in any event.
#9 - Sloppy Bear
Fast? Absolutely. Controlled? Not always. Sloppy Bear’s machine had speed to spare but often looked like a deer on ice. Despite handling issues, he remained competitive throughout the event and fought his way into the LCQ.
#10 - Ragin’ Ricky
Nobody found more bad luck than Ragin’ Ricky. Wrecks, flips, blocks—you name it, he found it. Yet beneath all that chaos was one of the fastest cars in the field. Sometimes racing just isn’t fair.
#11 - Abby Normal
Abby brought an older build and, unfortunately, it showed. In a straight line the car was impressive, but the corners proved troublesome. The muscle car’s top-heavy nature made for plenty of excitement. Speed: Elite Handling: Optional
#12 - Xcentric
The blacked-out Mercedes arrived with serious pace. Xcentric stormed through the opening rounds before late-race troubles dropped him into the LCQ, where his day came to an end. A strong showing nonetheless, and a driver with plenty more wins in his future.

Power Rankings headed into the Maulers & Haulers event.
#1 Golide Hawnduh - Remains
With a 3rd place finish, Goldie Hawnduh remains at number one. She had a great run through the entire tournament, she was steady, and consistent. Not always the fastest car on the track, but stayed out of trouble, and kept her wheels down.
#2 Puff - Up 4 spots from 6th
Moves up four spots to second for his consistent dominate runs in all of the rounds. His beetle was consistently in the top 2 for speed. His now famous “pass in the grass” has cemented his lore into the RRL record books. Very good build and heck of a race and a memory that will last!
#3 Jay Bo - Remains
Jay stays in third of the power rankings as he made it to the semi finals. A fast car, great runs, and some smooth racing got him there. He missed the finals by a couple points. He is one of the most consistent cars on the track and we are excited to see him in the Maulers & Haulers event.
#4 Clancy - First time on power rankings
Clancy is your champion of the VW Lemans which land him in fourth. Clancy ripped through the tournament like a wick on fire! He was quiet, and steady but brought the heat out when he needed it most. He Edged Puff out by 1 point for the Championship win! We are excited to see Clancy here for future races, and we hope he keeps coming back with that championship mindset.
#5 Colin Oskapy - First time on power rankings
Colin had a great tournament run that landed him in fourth place when the dust settled. The full story though, was how hard he fought these cars to get there. Strong fast runs, perfected pit maneuvers, and a fast semi final run got him to the finals. The finals, that’s where it fell apart on him. The cars beat up on Colin and he just couldn’t recover from an early mishap in turn 3. He is fast, and we know he will have a great future race here when he comes back.
#6 Numbskull - Drops 4 spots
Numbskull is the LCQ Master. We think he likes the attention, and his cars love to thread the field. We think he has raced the most cars out of all the tournaments. He was fast, but the car was riding up the rails a lot, but kept himself in the mix. He made it the last round of the QF’s, but his runs came to end there.
#7 Skid Marks - First time on power rankings
Skid Marks was rock steady through the first several rounds and was poised to be in the championship round, but lady luck is bitter sometimes and he missed his shot by 1 point. Just one inconsistent round can change everything! We know he’s a strong racer and we hope to see him back here again soon!
#8 Ragin’ Ricky - Up 6 spots from 14th
Ricky had one of the fastest race tournament cars. His “Thing” was a work of art and was rocketing its way to the top. However, much like Skid Marks, Ricky had one bad round which cost him a spot in the finals. We know Ricky is headed in the right direction and it will be a matter of time and Ragin’ Ricky will be in the Finals!
#9 Grizz - drops 4 spots
The master of speed, current record holder at 7.250 - Had a decent showing, and was in the quarterfinal round when he had a bad run, more of a bad block, and the racing got away from him after that. We know Grizz is fast, and we know he can get it done on Old Rte 49 and we’ll see him bounce back well if he comes back.
#10 Georgio - First time on power rankings
The little bug that just wouldn’t go away! This car was unassumingly fast, and nimble! Going in and out of every heat with new battle scars and experience. He did well, made it out of the LCQ for the fourth group in the QF’s, but that’s where is run ended. A great first impression at the RRL race compound!

Power Rankings Headed into the VW Lemans
#1 Golide Hawnduh
With a Win, Goldie Hawnduh jumps from sixth to number one on the power rankings. Goldie had the most points scored at 22 in the Quarterfinals. She never went to the LCQ, and was consistent in all of her rounds. The car was strong, made great passes and stayed out of trouble. This was a good race for her.
#2 Numbskull
Moves up a spot on the power rankings due to his strong consistent showing in the AMV Challenge, as well as the CTI. Survived many rounds of the LCQ, and made a strong showing in the semifinals and the finals netting himself a third place finish. When we think of perseverance, numbskull is the first name that comes to our mind.
#3 Jay Bo
Drops two spots, only because of the unfortunate washout and block in the semifinal rounds. He was by far one of the most consistent cars, and one of the fastest cars on the track. He was the locals favorite to win. He has a fast car, and we know he’s beating himself up for that one bobble. We are sure he will bounce back from this.
#4 Dirk Funk
Netted himself a fourth place on the power rankings as a newcomer to the rush racing league. His car was fast. His car was consistent and he had one heck of a showing. In our eyes, he was the car to beat. He was one point away from a tie two points away from a win. Not a bad first showing at old Route 49.
#5 Grizz
Lands fifth on our power, rankings due to his tenacity and speed on this track. He broke the record in qualifying, it had speed throughout the entire tournament. Unfortunately, a bad run in the finals landed him fourth, but he is undeniably a very strong competitor. He also, set the new track record. 7.250
#6 Puff
Moves up two spots to sixth for his consistent showing in all of the rounds. Surviving the LCQ coming back into the semi finals and having a heck of a run just falling short of making into the finals, we think puff has this track figured out finally, and we expect big things from him going forward.
#7 Stray Dog
Land seventh in our power rankings, his first time here his car was ridiculously good, he had a bunch of great rounds, great heats and made some amazing moves on the track, but unfortunately got caught up in an upside down run or two, which slowed his points run. We know he’s gonna do great things, everywhere he goes.
#8 Feral Patrick
Is eighth in our power rankings due to his awesome runs, good looking car, and heads up decision-making while on the track. Only got caught up in one of his own mess ups, then got caught behind someone else’s block, that ruined his bid for the championship. When he comes back, we expect him to be a front runner.
#9 Willie G
Lands ninth after being fifth on the previous power rankings. The competition was stiff this time and he just couldn’t get a string of good runs together to give him the points he needed to keep advancing on, but he was always in the mix of it. We expect him to bounce back.
#10 Jefe
Lands tenth as a first timer on the rush racing league, power rankings. He had a strong car, had some unfortunate hang ups, and was racing against some top-tier competition. He has the car capable of doing great things, and we’re excited to see him back here and out there continuing to improve on his strong run her at the AMV Challenge.
