Good luck to all tomorrow!
TE, would you please switch names/numbers so that Luke is racing the #73 blue with flames Shoebox and Fat Mike is racing the black #76 Ford Anglia. Thanks!
I picked up the cars and the results tonight from Jeremy. Due to the late hour I'll be posting the times and finishes tomorrow night. I'm also hoping to get a round of racing in so I can ship the cars out Tuesday.
Sorry for all the mix ups with the cars. Thanks for the help with getting my crap straightened out.
Sunday I met dadvbal at the gridiron sports pub for a toddie...and some bull... good fun... he liked the "race on the bar" thing... as he had raised his track at home...
. We talked about the "win 2 in a row" thing... in my opinion... all cars have random numbering, pairing and lane choice... with all 3 random factors in lane assignment if a host has a fast lane so be it... like real racing... dad said he had run 30 plus passes to get a winner... that is a whole series of passes to get 1 winner... as fair as it gets for the racers, but not fair to the hosts...
. Without clocks maybe the host could take notice of by how much the car in the fast lane wins by, [BRIAN'S scoring sheet] after 2 fast lane wins... make 1 pass in each lane, the host determines which car won by the biggest differences...
. I run the lowest # car in lane 1... second round I run the highest # in lane 1...swap back and forth with each round... I am a big believer in the host's choice in most matters, I posted this comment because a host may feel required to run 30 passes for 2 in a row... I feel that with the multiple random factors a 2 in a row may only be needed in a final...
. I know, Too much of my opinion !
- not posting times, DRAG TRAX clocks could decide the fast lane, same reaction time. — model40fan
I don't run them that many times...if the cars are both liking one lane and both running the same times, I'll decide it by margin of victory. After 2-3 passes in each lane, you can usually see which car is winning by more. I have two cars...two '57 Chevys which run very close - a black one and a blue one. The black one is just a little faster than the blue. When I'm getting ready for a race, I make sure that the lanes are such that the black car wins in both lanes. My 2 cents :)
