BOD means Bin of Death. In the Hot Wheels world a Bin of Death is a Dump Bin, named for the damage that occurs with the Dump Bin car's packaging.
In my world BOD means "bacon on dat?"
Stopped by a neighborhood garage sell and picked these out of a bag of toys...
and this one at a local antique mini mall. Lady there set up an appointment with me to rummage through her storage bins of hot wheels later on.
In my world BOD means "bacon on dat?"
Of course it does
Storage bins turned out to be one 18 gallon tote, a few boxed sets and two 48 car cases.
Most everything was beat up, dirty and a little smelly, too!
She wanted $200 for the lot - I passed, but I did ask to go through all 18 gallons of cars and found a few used Corvettes and a couple interesting other cars.
She turned down my offer of $15.00 for the two cases and cars I selected, but after I explained to her that the store down the street had Hot Wheels in baggies at 10 for $1.00 that were in much much better shape than these. That I could buy brand new same sized cases for less than $10.00 at Walmart. And I was offering her 5 times a car - for what she originally wanted for them in bulk - she changed her mind.
After I researched the Caddy, I did go back later and give her a few more bucks!
Found one of these. Very rare. Only 300 produced, and by the way it's for trade if anyone has an extra $uper '55 Gasser.

I wish I would have found one of those Bel Airs at K-Day now
Man I love moon pies...great find
Mrs Fox was trying to find the new Snoopy Red Baron release and a guy and his kid were there looking for cars as well. He directed her to the newest Kroger store in the area, saying they had a huge selection of cars. So we drop by there on Saturday and they did indeed have quite a selection.
Mostly early 2014 models (only picked up this one)
They even had some 2013 models...
A few 2012 models...
and way down at the bottom - of course at the very back - there were 2 - 2011 models - are those FTEs - Why yes! Yes they are!!!
The store is only about 6 months old.
I once had an FTE Javelin that was super fast.
Agreed I have a Javelin that is very quick, especially for the narrow wheel track.
I also went hunting today.
Found the Super Nova wagon, 4 regular hunts...and a couple other cars that caught my eye....bad news for Snoopy I have plans for those engines
