Jeremy at the LJLRC expressed an interest in possibly running a race in this series. He's been following along and likes a lot of the cars and just thought he'd ask. Our next club meeting is Sunday the 14th. Being that I have the cars I would just keep them, and we would send them out Monday the 15th. This would push the remaining hosts back one week. It was just a spur of the moment thing, so if it can't happen, no big deal. We can certainly look at hosting one of the other races coming up. If the remaining hosts would please let me know I'll get back to Jeremy. Thank you.

First round results.
#8 vs #36 - Both cars started out even, but #36 took the lead at the half way point and won by 1/3 of a car in both races.

#2 vs #4 - #4 jumped to an early lead and held on to win the 1st race by 2 car lengths and the 2nd by one car length.

#46 vs #10 - Cars left the gate even, but #46 pulled away to win both races by 1-1/2 car lengths.

#6 vs #72 - #72 took the lead at the 1/3 marker and won the 1st race by 2 car lengths. In the 2nd race, #72 had control from the start and won again by 2 car lengths.

#80 vs #30 - #80 shot out of the gate and took the win by 3 car lengths. In race #2 the #80 car grabbed the lead 1/3 way down the track for a 2 car victory. Unfortunately for car #30, it has a major wobble pretty much all the way down the track. All that back and forth action, hitting the side rails has to be seriously slowing it down.

#74 vs #78 - #74 took off out of the gate and won by a 1-1/2 car length. In race #2 the #74 slipped ahead at the 1/3 mark and again finished with a 1-1/2 car victory.

#40 vs #82 - In both races the #40 had a fast start, winning the 1st race by 2 cars and the 2nd race by 2-1/2 car lengths.

Round 2 results
#12 vs #36 - #36 pulls in front for an early lead and rolls to a 1-1/2 car length win in both races.

#4 vs #46 - #46 takes the lead about 1/3 of the way down the track and finishes with a 1-1/2 car win in the 1st race. In the second race the #46 pulls away at the half-way point and win by 1 car length.

#72 vs #80 - Both cars ran down the track side by side, with the #80 squeaking out the win in the 1st race by a bumper. In the 2nd race the #72 managed to pull ahead near the end and win by a fender. The 3rd race was again a side by side contest until the very end with the #72 winning by a bumper. Awesome racing.

#74 vs #40 - Both cars started even out of the gate, but the #40 shot ahead at the 1/3 mark and took the first race by 2 car lengths. Second race started the same way, but the #40 finally pulled away at the 1/2 way point for a 1-1/2 car length victory.

Guess we all know what the funny car finals looks like! Not a big surprise though really, its been those 2 for most of the event. Glad my Super Comp got revenge on the Number 80 which it had previously lost to! Did rather well in the pro-stock category this week. I'm proud of that little guy!
