The DRAG CAR Challenge
Guess we all know what the funny car finals looks like! Not a big surprise though really, its been those 2 for most of the event. Glad my Super Comp got revenge on the Number 80 which it had previously lost to! Did rather well in the pro-stock category this week. I'm proud of that little guy!
That thing is pretty fast on this track. One of my favorite castings too.
I'm about as computer illiterate as you can get. Not sure how but I'm missing a bracket as it doesn't appear to have downloaded from the camera, so I'll have to make adjustments as we go.

Round 1 winners.
#22 vs #9 - The VW managed to inch ahead to win the 1st race by a nose. In the 2nd race the VW pulled away in the last quarter of track to win by a 1/2 car length.
#35 vs #5 - The #35 jumped out of the gate in both races and cruised to a 3 car length victory in each.
#73 vs #39 - Both cars left the block evenly, but by the half way point the #39 jumped to a lead and took both races by a 2 car length.
#31 vs #79 - #31 pulled away at the half way mark and held on to win by a 1/3 car length. In race number two the #31 grabbed an early lead and finished one car length ahead for the win.
#45 vs #81 - The #45 gained some separation about a third of the way down the track and took both races by a 1-1/2 car length.
#77 vs #3 - The #3 gained some momentum about the half way point and won the 1st race by 1-1/2 car lengths. In the 2nd race the #3 shot ahead shortly out of the gate and finished two cars ahead.
#11 vs #7 - Racing was close the top part of the track, but the #11 then picked up speed and took the 1st race by 1/2 car and the 2nd race by 1/3 car lengths.
Round 2 Winners
#71 vs #9 - #9 takes a slight early lead and takes the first race by a car length. Second race was closer, but the #9 manage to squeak ahead and hold on for a 1/4 car win.
#35 vs #39 - The #35 made his move just before the 1/2 way point and finished both races a full car length ahead for the victories.
#45 vs #31 - This was the first race to go more than two runs. It took 5 trips down the track before the winning car won two consecutive races. Racing was neck and neck just about all the way down the track and each time the race was determined in the last couple of feet.
1st race - #31 scoots ahead and takes it by a nose.
2nd race - #45 gets the edge and wins by half the front wheel.
3rd race - #31 takes this one by a wheel.
4th race - #45 squeaks out the win by a nose.
5th race - #45 pulls away just a bit sooner and wins by a fender.
#3 vs #11 - #11 takes off just before the half way point and goes on to win by 3/4 car length. In race two, #11 grabs an early lead and rolls to just over a car length victory.
Semi-final Winners
#9 vs #35 - This one took three races.
1st race - #9 gets a little edge near the bottom and wins by a fender.
2nd race - #35 pulls slightly ahead and wins by a nose.
3rd race - #35 again finds a small lead and also takes this one by a nose.
#45 vs #11 - Another three race adventure
1st race - #45 rolls to victory by a mere nose.
2nd race - #11 finds enough separation to win by a half car length.
3rd race - #11 finishes it off and wins by a fender.
