The LeMans Challenge! (mail-in)
When is the LeMans arriving at its next stop?
Well, they were sent off to Worpex on the 6th, and the tracking says "Arrived at sorting facility on December 7th."
I haven't seen them yet. I'm sure they will show up tomorrow.
Got the cars today and I have some bad news. The Shelby Cobra #21 of nightstalker appears to not have survived the journey to PA. Looks as if the front axle got dislodged and it no longer supports the weight of the car, thus, the base drags on the track.
Also, #59 of the sloppy jalopies is nowhere to be found in this packaging. However, there was Bedlam included... unsure why as it isn't anywhere close to being a le-mans car.
I can probably repair the Nightstalker car if he gives me permission to open her up and get it back into shape. I'm also unsure as to how much time I have between now and the next stop... time might be an issue.
So if NerveHammer can let me know as to whats going on with the time schedule and what to do about this Bedlam/#59 situation, that would be clutch. And if Nightstalker can give me permission to fix up the shelby, that'll also be great.
Thanks!
if the sloppy be lost so be it... i like straight lines anyway...

WorpeX, do you have a spare GT-40 for Smitty to use?

I do, actually. Same color too.

GREAT!
I hate to see Smitty get out of driving one of them there sporty cars!
Oh no, not again!! By all means "Oh Worped One" I even installed JB Rivits on the old Snakebite this time. If you don't mind it's OK with the Old Stalker.

Maybe shoulda sent out the Shadow or the Matchbox GT 40. Maybe time to retire the Snake to the display shelf.

Ah ha! I found a small note among all the peanuts! The white paper blended in with all the white packaging. Missed it the first time I dug through it... but this time I dumped the whole thing so I found it! It says "WorpeX: The Bedlam is yours". That problem is solved! Thanks Nervehammer!!!
Sir WorpeX, I'll swap ya 1 slightly worn Cobra for that Bedlam. I have a few Cobras but no Bedlam

Fortunately, there was a time gap, so you had an extra week.
The #59 was not to be found here, so.....

Admitedly, my catchbox is kind of small(6"x6", fully lined w/1" foam) and cars can easily bounce out of it. When I'm running pairs for 'practice', I will usually stop the cars by hand before they hit the box. But if a race is rear bumpers.
