track base
I am building some 1:1 Model A rat rod bodies to help pay future taxes... 1 a sport coupe without the top... to give it more of a roadster look i want to run a strip of wood from door to door around the back of the cockpit combing....
well ! i had a 12' section of 5/8" x 5" grey plastic decking laying on top of a row of wide white wall tires, it sagged between tire hights... so i set up a test sag... layed it over a 3' tall deck rail... next day i set a cinder block on each end... in a day [85*] the critter saged to lay on the ground 4' from each side of the rail... it is almost a half round.... should do just what i need....
But then, i thought that it could make a great track base, the transfer is built in...
photo bucket still hates me so i can't post a pic.... if any interest i will attach pix to an e-mail...
meanwhile back to your scheduled programing...
Pictures we need pictures. My customizing of a full size car is putting a stick-on pinstripe down the side of the car. It did look good though....That car hit something on the road and ripped a hole in the oil pan. The engine bombed out a few miles later. Never got it fixed. Just had it towed away and moved on. Oh I did change a starter in a 57 Ford once and it actually worked, Wish I still had that car...Stroller
