Truck-O-Rama on September 2nd, Ohio
I've noticed there is some kind of beginners luck around here. You do well, get hooked and can never seem to reach the same success the more you try and the more you think you learn.
I think its more like this: As a beginner you send in stock cars which are fast and do well. Then you start to mod and everything goes down hill!
as far as newbie luck, thats true Wpx., exception being Bellinghammers!
but after looking at the H.D.S I & II, GASSERS, GASSER / VELLE, TOP SPORTSMAN and maybe future FLOPPERS entries.... most all are or will be modds..... the featherweight series seems to have evolved into a light weight yet fast stockers race... at first i bristled...then i thought [I.M.O.] that we "should" have a mail-in stocker racing for the purists, that don't wanna cut cars...
. 'course i've been wrong before...
I think the Featherweight Challenge is a great race...until we get 8 or 9 Lotuses competing.
I entered is tournament because it looked fun but then I realized I don't even know how to mod!
Ha! You may be better off! It's fun trying to figure it out though. I'm sure there are multiple people here more than willing to answer any questions you may have.
I.M.O. if we get too many winning "LOTUSI" the modds will just drop out of the "lotus weight series", but if so, thats ok as long everybody gets to race in a series or two, and we keep racing options open for both altereds and stockers...

I would enter this tournament if I didn't already have 3, maybe 4 cars to mod already, as well as hosting a couple of the tournaments. The wife is not as understanding as she once was when it comes to spending multiple hours modding cars, hosting races and posting 'Photo Brackets'
i have tried to register for the truck o rama, it says no... is it because i am not a fantast racer ?
@Smitty - Kind of...you don't have to be a Fantasy player to use the calendar but you do have to create an account, which is different than your forum password. Bottomline, if you don't play in the Fantasy League, you will have to sign-up.
Nice part is, that account gets you access to the calendar AND the League, so if you ever feel the urge to play, you can without any extra steps.
