WANTED: Redline Derby event coordinator person

'm looking for some help. I need someone to be the eyes and ears of live/mail-in racing for Redline Derby. A lot of threads go through the forum every day, many of which are related to live events. I can only keep up with so much of what's going on while I'm tending to the Fantasy League and other RLD things. So what I'm looking for is someone that has an interest in being the "go to guy" when it comes to the events being promoted.

This person would need to be in the loop for all the mail-in/live event topics getting posted...just being aware, really. Ideally this person would then be responsible for keeping a running list of events either in a separate thread or on the calendar so there is a nice, single place to get information that would then link to individual threads. I would also love to have this person be admin for the RLD Facebook page and post blurbs/links to mail-in stuff there as well, keeping those people up to date and hopefully get a few of them to dive deeper into the fun we all have racing. This person would also need to be able to regularly field PMs, emails and questions from RLD members. You would get a @redlinederby.com email address to help you stay organized. I would be providing most of the tools and conventions needed, you would just be using them to communicate all the info.

once a week to keep things fresh, that would be perfect...of course, if you want to go above and beyond and have the desire and motivation, by all means bring your passion and let it shine.

I just know that the mail-in racing and live events is a big part of what makes all this diecast collecting and racing fun, but I'm just not able to keep up with everything. I want to see RLD support all-things diecast racing, even if that means just posting links and help getting the word out.

Interested?

If this sounds interesting to any of you, please leave a comment or PM me with any thoughts, questions or concerns. This is an entirely volunteer role but whoever takes on the task would probably get a shirt or some small token of gratitude out of the deal.

I'm happy to announce that EconoCarl has stepped up to the plate and will be RLD's official event coordinator. We all know he has done a great job guiding mail-in tournaments in the past so there's no better person. Carl has been given permission to do what he needs to help foster, promote and guide diecast racing events so you should be seeing more efforts soon to try and make it easier for everyone to get involved.

Go Carl!

Carl was my first suggestion! Sounds like he's been doing a lot of that stuff already. Go Carl!
