What are you thankful for ?

Stroller Tuesday, 11/25/2014

This not for the normal "Thankfuls" like family, good health and other usual stuff.  This is for what or who you are thankful for in diecast racing.

I am thankful for :

Redline Derby,  FTE Wheels, all the racers and builders here.

To my friends and colleagues here on RLD.  Thanks for making this place what it is, fun and competitive. To the creative builds, and builders that inspire me in my own work.  (raises glass...toast to you my friends) Thanks!

I have many things to be thankful for this year...more so than usual!

But, I am very thankful for finding this site and to the people here. This site lets me re-live my childhood in a way that I could have never imagined when I was an 8-year-old kid, playing with Hot Wheels.

Thank You, each and every one of you, for making this site a very cool place to play, build, race and to create!

I am incredibly thankful for everyone that visits this site, but more so the group of us that come back daily and share their stories that make this fun and interesting. I might have given us a place to hang out but it's the people that make it destination.

I'm also thankful to everyone that "suffered" through the site redesign earlier this year and stuck around. I know it was a struggle and not without some drama but I'd like to think that we've all crossed that bridge and are happy with what's here now. And to our newest members that only know the site as it appears now...don't worry, change will come again ;)

I take a lot of pride in RLD and what we've all created here. This is a safe place for adults, kids and families to enjoy the fun of Hot Wheels and racing. I started collecting again and racing as an adult because I could create (and afford) things I couldn't as a kid, and each of you continue to give me a reason to keep this thing going, and for that, I am very thankful.

I'm also thankful to have a new house where I can have a proper place to build and race...and to my wife for letting me, ha!

as a disabled worker my life has shrunk substantially ... no longer able to work at GE or build full size hot rods, this site has really taken up the slack...

few hobbies give me the ability to use my skill, tools and imagination... i tried to sell a few customs on ebay, could only get my money back, [boredom cure].

I was blown away when in 2011 I stumbled on this site... unbelievable, other guys wanting to cut up and race hot wheels...pure fantastic... those racers being the great bunch of boys n' girls we have here... priceless.

thanks to B for running this site, and all you racers for making this THE world's best site to mail-in modd race !

I am thankful for the Internet. It allows me to drop in to sites like RLD, participating in the fantasy league  really keeps my interest in die-cast collecting alive.

I may not be able to join in with the mod racing as sending cars from and to the UK is quite expensive but I enjoy reading about every ones custom builds and competitions etc.

Cheers Brian for providing this great site.
