Your fastest 5 cars ?
I saw this topic a while back (created by WorpeX if not mistaken) and it was a big clue for me to trial & error finding the fastest car. Then, here we go again.
what are your top 5 fastest diecast cars? (any brands; HW, JL, MBX, Greenlight)

You can also check out the old RLD Fantasy League database. It has car ratings and race history for a ton of stock Hot Wheels. Covers years of racing...doesn't include all cars, obviously, but could lead down some good paths to try.
But at large, Ferraris handle pretty well. As mentioned, Shadow Jet is a winner...Rescue Ranger was always a good performer too.
Mine would look roughly like this:
1. Johnny Lightning '71 Dodge Challenger R/T (purple)
2. Hot Wheels King Kenny funny car (Pro Circuit series)
3. Johnny Lightning '69 Chevy Camaro (black with flames)
4. Johnny Lightning '00 Chevy Silverado (Monopoly 70th)
5. Johnny Lightning '69 Chevy Camaro (Spiderman series)
I have MANY stock cars that would probably tie for those spots, but I couldn't write out the whole list.
Our Top 80 cars are all ranked, and very specifically.
Between the two of us, our fastest five (on the home track) are a JL Red Dodge Coca-Cola Van, a JL Dodge Spiderman Van, a HW Martin Racing Firebird Funny Car, a JL BWF Camaro, and a JL Chevy Spiderman Van. I'll have to look at the shelf to remind me of what my own personal fastest five are.

My own personal five fastest on the home track are a JL Chevy Spiderman Van, JL BWF Camaro (in that order--I was mistaken on those ones in my last post), JL Gold Dodge Cut-Rate Movers Van, JL BWF Camaro, and HW Martin Racing Firebird Funny Car. (That's not to mention the Original HW Redline Jet Threat and HW John Force Castrol Funny Car, which have won seven and six times respectively on other tracks; the JL Monopoly Silverado, which I haven't yet raced on the home track because it won too quickly at the LJLRC, and I don't want to wear it out before the Finals; or the monstrous MBX 2008 Disney Bus, which is about the size of a TV remote and did well on the home track--about as well as my Martin Racing--before I started fearing it would get damaged on the Dragtracks transition).
I start first then.
1. F40 with 3-sp I have 4 F40s with different version of wheels; 3-sp, 5-sp, gold lace, 5 holes. 3sp is the fastest one. I added more weight (to 60g) + fix axle on gold lace one but still could not out run the stock 3-sp.
2. Testarossa with gold lace. Again, I moded another testarossa with FTE1 + add weight + fix axle. It could not beat the stock gold lace.
3. Teegray with HSRW. Light and fast, very impressive
4. Shadow Jet. Fast. but too light and has too short wheel base. It always has problem when racing on orange track with metal rivets.
5. Redline Noodlehead. about 90% condition. Nice suspension, smooth ride. It's fast but not to the level I expected from the hype I always heard.
