That is correct. Delta6's Lambo is a mod w/no interior. No FTE Lambo exists in Mattels lineup as far as I could research as well as the custom Beetle, which was a challenge. It consists of a metal base and body, so I ditched the interior, sanded down all the body lines and then evened everything out. The rear axle was a bit wide, causing it to shimmy during test phase, so I cut an early redline bearing in half and then notched it so it snaps right onto the rear axle and pushes the wheels out. Didn't get to test it again after that. That black & orange thing was an alternate for the custom Demon I was working on. Talk about heavy! Even after cutting off the rear spoiler, which probably weighed as much as a $1 stack of quarters, I had to drill about x8-1/8 inch holes in the base to get the weight down. I wish I had more time to square away the Demon I had going. Can't wait! I got real excited when I some of the photos that were posted.

Wow thats a lot of work! I hope the cars end up being quick! That bug sure does look good! From the picture though, it looks like the back wheels on the lambo are hitting the chassis. I hope thats not true!

is T.L.D.'s "astro-turf" sitting on a zeed front end, hand made base ? i don't recognize it...

Yeah, the wheels on the Lambo should clear. I had to grind a away a bit of the inside wheel wells, even the windshield in the back. Losing the interior helped a little and also reduced the weight. It didn't do too bad during testing for a mod car. The Beetle did ok too, but with the rear axle being too wide the shimmy effect slowed it down. Hopefully pushing out the wheels helped.

Those rails my friend are made from a coat hanger. The front suspension is cut off from the Astro Funk and trimmed down quite a bit. That car in the photo is "Astro Rail MK IV" . I had to refine it several times to lose weight. Tried different front wheels. Tried it with the rails above the front suspension, tried it below. There were more details I wanted to add, but it's right at 35 grams and held together with very little JB Weld to save weight.

If it was a show car I might have done a couple things different, but I was trying to get it to go fast. (Failed).

OMG I love the TLD cars! haha Those paint jobs are high quality!

I see my attempt to make the cars look intimidating has worked.

Race results will be up Sunday evening. Probably around 7:00 PM give or take a bit, West Coast time.

The last couple team photos have been posted back on the first page.

I like the white sticker number you put on the back of the Viper -looks kinda like a racing stripe.

Everybody got numbers usually on top and in the rear. I think it's the easiest place for the host when racing so you don't have to go looking for the number. Plus it just looks cool back there.
