GASSERS, GASSERS AND MORE GASSERS
check the two plastic prongs on either side of the front axle...they crush into the groove not letting it fit flush...

Be afraid be very afraid.....like I am.
cool... I never get to see 442's headlights...
Since I am running short on time,I decided to "space" the body a bit. I just got my scales calibrated this morning. I am going to add some weight when I get home and do a test run or two and get them in the mail tomorrow hopefully.
when you glue the spacer between the interior to the base, put doubled over strips of cardstock between the wheels and wheel wells for clearance to ensure the wheels won't rub...don't have the cardstock support the cars weight...shim the body first...
i don't dremel, it takes some time, i use the bur bit... takes about 45 seconds per side... but, I am used to the bur bit's bad habits...
Been running behind schedule...

In the pine wood derby series they design their cars to roll on just 3 wheels...just saying. Glad your kid is interested!
