HWRL Championship Series

Thanks CCR for a great series.  The finale is the most unique track I've ever seen and should be lots of fun.  I have no idea who to run so I'll go with the tried and true caddy (that I should have entered in the jump!) and the yellow diesel boy which hasn't seen action yet.  Thanks again

As I've been extremely busy with college, I haven't had much time to post--but I wanted to let you know that you're doing a great job, CCR! I HAVE followed the videos for theses past two events, and greatly enjoyed the action. Keep up the great work into the Baja race! I'm glad my team is doing so well so far--hopefully they can keep it up into this last race.

Congrats to Traction Event on winning the open-course race, and to Rhino Racing on the jump track (which, by the way, was incredibly built--I got a kick out of how strongly people were being urged to drive carefully).

I will enter the yellow F40 along alongside the Baja-specific entry I sent you; can you please let me know, very soon, how it rolls/how the wheels spin? If it stinks, I might try sending something else.

Today's the day!  So I've been thinking about how I wanted to run this race.  This is a tough course and it will be a challenge for cars to just finish.  I'm not sure how the racing is going to go.  

So, my plan is to first run a time trial.  Each car will have 5 runs.  I will measure how far the car goes each run and then add up the total.  If the car finishes the course the time will also be recorded.  A car will receive 5 points for each time they finish a run. 

I will order the top total distances covered and the car with the farthest distance will get 10 points, 2nd farthest 9 points, and so on down to 1 point for 10th farthest.  

Next, I will order the finishing times from the fastest to the 10th fastest (if ten cars finish) and the fastest will receive 10 points, the 2nd fastest 9 points and so on down to 1 point for the 10th fastest.  

Finally I will take the cars with the top 16 fastest finishing times and put them in a head to head single elimination bracket. If there are not 16 cars that finish the course, then I will fill out the remaining 16 car field using the total distance. The first place finisher in the race bracket will receive 10 points, 2nd 9 points, and so on down to 10th place will receive 1 point.  

The winner of the baja course will be the car that scores the most points.  Points for finishing, points for time, points for distance, and points for the race.  I'm planning to wait for video to "announce" the results.  I'll get it done as soon as possible.  Here we go!

CCRider, once more you've gone above and beyond! I loved this track design and the action was thrilling (even though I clearly didnt make the right entry choices). I loved your video work and I know how much time you have put into making those. I loved the 'critic quotes" on that last video. Great Work. Im excited for the next time I will have the honor to race with CCRider!
