HWRL Championship Series
Sorry I haven’t been keeping you guy up to date on the points for the Baja race. I’ve been out of town for the last several days and I left the paper I had the points on home. I’ve got some things going on the next few days, but I’ll wrap up the baja race on Wednesday or Thursday with point totals, as well as overall series points and series champion. Hopefully the next few videos will tide everyone over until then. Here comes the final four and the championship race as well as some quick brackets to place the cars through 10th place, which means everyone in the bracket race will run at least one more time since to get the 9th and 10th place cars I had to run everyone that lost in the first round.

Here is how it all played out. Going into the Baja event the top three places were pretty tight. When the dust settled there was a tie for first place with FOTF and 9.81 Racing both having 38 points.

If you’ll recall, there was one race that I did after the first King of the Hill race that didn’t count for any points. Since the top 16 cars were so close in time, it was suggested that a head to head bracket would be interesting so I ran one. I decided to use that bracket as a tie breaker to determine the winner of the Championship Series and the nod went to FOTF. Congratulations!
This has been a lot of fun…and a lot of work. I hope you’ve enjoyed this Series. I’ll start working on getting cars returned. I’ve talked to some of you about returns and some have included some money for shipping. Let me know if for some reason you don’t want your cars returned. Otherwise I’ll message you in the next day or two confirming addresses, etc.

Wow, what a trophy! Looks great, even with FOTF's cars on it. (lol) Honestly, a great series with unique tracks and racing. The Baja track was my un-doing, but it was a learning experience. CCRider put on quite a spectacle. Nice work and the presentation was even better. Thanks for hosting. Congrats to FOTF, and 9.81...well done guys!

I'll admit, I was kind of wondering what would happen in the case of a tie (and from my own painstaking calculations, I had concluded there would probably be one). I guess it pays to have an additional, unofficial event on hand.
Again, I want to thank you for a great series all around; excellent job with the tracks, the videos, etc. Waiting for the next HWRL video became like waiting for the next episode of a favorite TV show.

If this works out right, the two Dodge Vans will be back in time to help FOTF score more points toward the LJLRC's Any Brand championship by the second Sunday of November (but if not, they should still be back for December).
It's been great racing with all of you! I look forward to the next series put on by HWRL (and I agree with Cliffordshaw--I want to race on the Baja track again!).
From concept all the way to a cool trophy, this was an excellent event that I enjoyed very much. SOOO much work in track building, video editing, scoring systems and presentation. Thank you CCR - you bring the red rocks to redline derby!!
I love this track! Flip end over end and keep on driving, wreck blocking 3/4 of track- thread the needle. I think it's cool that the off road castings are actually doing well. And what's with the Ferrari? How many crazy different tracks have we seen it do well on? The force is with that casting. Now that I've seen how it works I want to race it again. Can we huh? Can we huh?
