I had some parts left over from the Dueling Derbies builds and my flatbed so I decided to make something out of them. I've always liked rat rods and didn't really car for the Cadillac but bought it for the FTE2 wheels. I had seen a new Camaro rat rodded and thought it was cool. Combine a rat rod and a Caddilac and you get a Ratillac.

I didn't know the Brasilia build off on the other forum was over so I picked this up.

And I know you like gassers so check out this new for 2013 '55.

I figure combining a Ratified and a Bone Shaker makes it a Rat Bone.

Chassis and wheels are from the Ratified. Body from the Bone Shaker. Engine is Ratified parts and 1/24 plastic model parts.

Still need to permanently attach the body and do some detailing.

That's one of the best looking Bone Shakers I've seen! Keep us posted.

The Ratillac looks good too. How did you paint it?

I don't think I've mentioned it to you guys but I am a teacher. Christmas break has given me a lot of time to tinker. That is why you are seeing so much from me lately.

Carl, I hit the Cadillac with a wire brush in a Dremel and then sanded areas. After that, I used a bronze sharpie on the places bear metal was showing. Then, I painted a coat of brown and wiped it off and did the same with black. Finally, I misted it with black.

Rat Bone is finished. Below are the mods I had to do to put the two cars together.

I had to cut the front off of the Boneshaker to make room for the new engine.

The Boneshaker body wouldn't fit between the exhaust pipes. I tried grinding to make room and bending the parts. I ended up having to cut the headers apart, add styrene to the piece that went between them, and glue them back on to make them wide enough apart. I also had to do some grinding to make room for the motor to slide forward. I got a scoop from my 1/24 model junkyard and the piece that goes over the front axle.

To make the wheel base long enough in the rear I had to add a piece of styrene to attach the axle to. The axle was too narrow so I cut it and glued the pieces into some styrene rod to get the width I needed.

This is what the bottom looks like.

Here is the finished product.

These are my first few builds where I focused more on speed than looks.

Chevelle 57.1g
Added weight. Did some painting.

Ford GTX1 FTE2
Added weight and graphite

Aero Dynamic
Added weight and graphite. Repo Duty wheels/Axles.

Mazda Furai FTE2
Removed the interior to make room for weight and used graphite on the axles.
This was a disappointment. It is slow.

Picked up the Ford because I thought it was cool. Its quicker than I expected.

Thanks for the encouragement. Glad to know I am on the right track.

The pick up weighs in at 56 grams and with another set of wheels could be a beast.
