Still quite a bit of work left to get this ready to display. Just plugging along on the detail work. Here I've temp installed tires and wheels just to get a look. I have a second set coming . Paint is pearl magenta.

- Hey Spydude the hot wheels casting used with this 3-D kit. The roof is already cut open. It’s a great kit, but there are certainly some challenges here and there and certainly with getting the wheels mounted. But overall, it was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed picking these crazy wide wheels. I really want it to look over the top. — AbbyNormal
I'm currently working on a mod for my '57 entry coming up and have just started the compulsory hand painted requirement! Having fun so far and will hope to make it look shiny and artistic!
Before I sell my 1:1 Challenger I wanted to do a couple models of it.
top is a cheap R/C car
next smaller is a 1/24 Maisto diecast. I modded the hood to make it a shaker
using automotive spot putty to fill in (this one will be super detailed)
and last the 1/64s, challenger funnycar is a fusion busta on a streached nose
a bent brass strip inside, and the body is filled with jb real, (dozens of small coats)
and finished with spot putty.
last is a drift challenger modded with lip spoiler and shaker
since that would be a lot of taping for the stripes, and I am lazy
I painted a piece of decal paper with the metalic blue.
Let's see if this works.
(I have painted clear decal paper white before to print on, mixed results so far)

Thought I'd post a few in-progress pics of my hearse gasser for the Hot Nuts Frankengasser race. It's a '59 Chevy Delivery with the roof of a Monster Dairy Delivery attached to the top. Then of course, I hogged-out the rear wheel openings to fit the '55 Chevy BelAir Gasser chasis.

New supplies came on the same day as my new cars, it's almost as if I was meant to work on them all weekend. Excited to try the 1.4mm outer diameter brass tubing and hopefully the mountain of individual lead pieces is easier to work with than the sheet of lead for roofing that I've repurposed.

- I was getting by with what I had, but cutting a sheet of lead with a Stanley knife is slow work. Precut lead and a better way to cut off bits should speed me up. — Chipped_Paint_Racing

- my on the "ordering parts for the bench" is a vintage 400 day clock. it needs a torsion spring replaced. Had it for 20+ years was terrified to try and fix it. after all this little race car stuff, I was moving it, and all the tiny parts didn't seem so small...lol — dr_dodge
