I'm sorry, but I'm not going to have anything for this race...I've just had too much on my plate lately. You'll have to take out Traction Event without me!

I'm still in it...I have no shortage of imports and have been working on a Pagani (seen above) but found out last night I have no JB Weld, nor super glue...nor anything. I'm dreadfully unprepared but I hope to rectify that tonight and get something done besides clipping axles and stripping paint. I'm trying out C10's tutorial for axles pipes to see how it goes.
Oh...and here's the pinewood derby weights I'm using. Gets you 2oz of weight (= 56g) that you can easily break apart. The bigger pieces seem to fit well within most chassis and the little half-blocks are great filler. I got mine at Hobby Lobby but they're same price on Amazon.

I have three cars that are almost ready but I'm not sure they can be there by the 5th. They shouldn't be later than the 7th, however. How strict is the May 5th deadline?
Sorry to be a pain in the ass. I am going to try and finish them tonight and get them out tomorrow. Hopefully they will get there fast and this won't be an issue.

hey racers, Id say if a full bracket is better so sooner than later but I can certainly wait if more cars are coming. Please just keep me informed so I'll know when I have them all to set the race up! thanks!

I'm in the same boat...hopefully be sending out cars Sunday or Monday. My dog is having some health issues so this weekend could go south real quick :(
@2seven - If things end up getting pushed back a week, that's fine with me in terms of hosting. Since there's just the two of us it's less hassle to shift. But I'm thinking you do 2 separate brackets in one weekend with random seeds each, then ship to me and I'll run 2 the same way to end it. No need to ship back-n-fourth twice...

USPS tracking says my cars made it today, please confirm...headed for tech inspection, and final tweaking
Well...I had my Ferrari picked up, my paint all ready only to find my drill is dead...and I have no idea where the charger is. Sigh. Still planning on entering...my wife is gonna pick a car to send in too. Hopefully have them in the mail this week.
