THE ________ CUP?

On the other hand if we go all out modification, that would perhaps limit the number of participants.

I say include the stockers to invite the most number of participants as possible. People who are modding are trying to figure out how to beat the stockers. When someone finally does figure it out there's gonna be a great deal of satisfaction for that person.

The Torino and Mavericks that Smitty mentioned also seem pretty common place around here. I think if we get it narrowed down to what car we want to use, between all of us I think we can get them to the people who can't find them. Shouldn't be too hard.

In this situation, I believe the modders (wheel changers) would have a good chance at beating the stock cars, as long as the stock car we choose isn't already an FTE model.

I say Maverick merely so that I have an excuse to take apart this super treasure hunt.

I say stockers should not be allowed in ANY mail-in races. To have stockers dominate over builder's creations is 180 degrees out of whack!

You've got to set the hook before you can reel them in!
I think we have more people attempting to mod cars since the Featherweight Challenge started, and that was kind of the idea.

Great conversation guys!

I was hoping that y'all would pick a non-FTE car for this competition, thinking that those who haven't might give wheel changing a try. And decorating, another great idea.

Someone mentioned "The ____ Cup" being a support race for the GASSERS. Another good idea but why not take it a little further. What about only allowing one car per entrant in GASSER WARS II. With the exception of one person from the upper east coast, each entrant only has one fast car anyway. Then we could all send in one GASSER and one ______ for GASSER WARS II.

More stuff to converse about

Okay, it seems we've more or less agreed on everyone starting with the same model from this year. We decorate it to our personal taste and also change the wheels if we choose. Guys as good as Smitty at modding could also chop it up or add protruding engines and exhaust (whatever suits their fancy), so long as it stays under a certain weight. Just have to decide on which 2012 Hot Wheel to race.

How about this one? Okay, it's not a 2012 first edition, but I just love this car
Diecast Cars, Hot Wheels, Matchbox
Everyone's got one of these right?
