THE ________ CUP?

It's the '67 Chevelle that is being used for this first "Cup". Everybody is starting with a '67 Chevelle.

Smitty already built a totally out of hand custom! ...but, is it fast?

nope! ... in fact, it is the slowest '67 chevelle that i have ever built...

So I went to go check my shelf in the HW room and this is what I found.

I would say any of those are 100% acceptable for building a car for the Chevelle Cup.

That car is super awesome Smitty! When you were describing what you were gonna do, I pictured a real car I think a Dart? Mr Norm's? ...Didn't Gartlits run a top fuel dragster with a Dart body on it? Raced against funny cars? Very cool.

i have never seen that before [thanks T.L.D. ] i was running on the J.L. "monkee mobile" theme... did a similar thing to a '66 gto wagon and an F.T.E - '66 batmobile...
if any of you ever go to garlits museum, look for my street rod club's... "brick" .....downeast street rods ... est. '72 ...

OK, Chevelle outta the tank, primed w/first coat of 4 colors being used If all goes according to plan. The FTE wheels have been treated (ala Nightstalker) and the JB weld is setting them in place. Hopefully will have it back together (weighted) this weekend.

I haven't been able to work on my Chevelle at all lately and tomorrow we're headed to the beach for a week. I won't be able to work on it down there 'cause one hand is gonna' have a beer in it!

sent my spare zjevelle out today to a racer in philly... says he will paint ,change wheels and enter it in the cup ! go K go...

Nice to see everybody going Gung Ho on the Chevelles. I got half way in on the big Chevelle project. Then it got put on hold so I could finish up on the Featherweights. I did start another one as well. Two in progress...so I can be twice as depressed when they get back together and race against a stocker.

Nice shot of you with Big Daddy there Carl. I'd like to go to that museum but I don't think there's anyplace farther from me without leaving the United States.
