Everlings and Redlinederby originally left their entrants to us, let me know if youve changed your minds and we'll ship em out to ya!
- You're good to keep them...unless TE wants his truck back :) — redlinederby
- Not my truck anymore... — Traction-Event
Got my racers back safe and sound, Thanks boys!
This has been one of my favorite series to date. The anticipation is KILLING ME! This is what all the "Dallas" fans must've felt when waiting to discover "Who shot JR?". I've got two still in this fight, even though the Fastfish is capitalizing on timing the gaps.
Top notch work guys!
- I'm just hoping my Heavy takes a few of yous guys out. — JDC442
- Glad you are liking the series and I swear we are not stretching out the drama to be cruel — cliffordshaw
- Cooper flew out for college today. I'm pretty sure he has the last video done and will post shortly. — cliffordshaw
Hey Guys, Sorry for the delay on the final video. Ive been traveling and getting things ready for school. I'll get the video up later
- More second funnel point stealing in these rounds that we've seen previously. Really fun! — cliffordshaw
- And how did that Ferrari survive the second funnel crash in the first race of the final? — cliffordshaw
- F-40 is living a charmed life... — Traction-Event
- Amazing race action!!! — Traction-Event
Allright, I finally got around to updating the final points standings! Congrats to TE and his Ferrari F40 for a very dominating performance!
I’d like to re-iterate what sweet race and series this was. 5 different tracks at one location… Impressive. CCRider is pulling off the same stunt, one location racing very cool. The video action on this site is why I race here, seeing how the cars react to each track…well that’s the pay off. The open track adds chance to the mix and a ton of other variables. That F-40 got lucky on more than one occasion. Well that F-40 was fast when it came out of the blister, I polished the axles left them loose added a little weight and JB qwiked the trunk lid. Car was super fast on my track, still surprised it got skunked on the 50 footer… the funnel track was as exciting as the open track racing…. and I’ll say for the punishment the cars took, they look to be in pretty good shape upon their return.
Thanks to everyone who sent in cars and enjoyed the world race. It's amazing that through all the different layouts and combinations, all the track quirks and luck-of-the-draw lineups, that TE's Ferrari would win 3 events and JDC's caddy would take the other 2. Clearly great castings made even better with some modding magic. We had a lot of fun planning and running it. Yes, it ran a little longer than we originally planned with schedule conflicts etc but we kind of liked spreading out the drama and allowing people plenty of time to watch the video and make comments. Big thanks to Cooper on the video. I watched the races live and can tell you that they were exponentially better to watch in slo-mo and I learned a ton about car and track dynamics. These are the kind of events we like to host, with part competition, part entertainment and lots of variety. We hope you found the brackets, scoring, rules and results fair and consistent. Me and my brothers spent many many days in the basement during the 1970s cooking up different tracks and racing our cars. 17 years ago we revived the idea as something to do when all of the cousins got together annually at a family cabin. Anyone could nominate a track or race idea and then we'd vote for five favorites and run a tournament. So you've really just experienced "weber cabin racing" with this event. The open track is a totally new area that cooper has developed and we liked it so much that we'd like to run another open track event when he is home for the Christmas holidays. For that one I promise better lighting so we can enjoy every second of race video.
What! I thought I'd suffer the same fate as the JDC Pimpmobile... clean run into the funnel...then bang!
I got a good draw to start with, but I can't explain the two clean shots JDC had at the funnel. Same goes for the V16 of FOTF... weird? Wheelbase too long? JDC and 2Seven literally exploded at the funnel. Twice!
My racing with that crazy bus of Rally Case...he played blocker once I got past.
Oh the crashes were spectacular!!! in all races! Go Mini! tough draw and came out looking good.
And as directed for my own soundtrack, I listened to Led Zepplelin : Hots on for Nowhere, and Barr Brothers band: Half Crazy...
