Teams from Finkle, MoHasAFastCar, Everlings, and 2seven pulled in today, were up to 22 confirmed entrants! I believe there are a few more on their way. I have to finish my entrants today's and then I'll try to get some photos posted by tonight

In regard to our race theme "World Race" I used to have a near complete set of these cars.  The yellow '63 Corvette was the only one I could not find back in 2003.

This set of World Race Highway 35 cars are the first thing I ever sold on eBay.  I've sold a few cars since then, but these are the only cars I ever regretted parting ways with.

  • Impressive collection. I used to collect them as a kid. I love the series and custom wheels! — Mcjiggles9

Alright everyone, here's your chance to check out the competition before race week. Some great looking mods and stocks in the running!

Im using a number system just to keep things simple and organized for myself.

  • Cooper: Interesting pair of competitors -we're exploring the dualistic nature of good and evil in racing here? — JDC442
  • No entries from Clifford or McJiggles?!? — MoHasAFastCar
  • Mcjiggles is Weber Cabin, the good and evil team — JDC442
  • Awesome just plain Awesome!!! You nailed the font for my Van and Camper! — everlings
  • it looks like God Spy / Bad Spy is at it again!!! lol — CrzyTrkrDude
  • I didn't have time build this time so I chose a "back to school" bus from a previous race that never achieved distinction, — cliffordshaw
  • So maybe the open track or funnel is its true destiny. Also entered a real redline, been wanting to do that for a long time. — cliffordshaw
  • The sugar caddy is 44 years old and still fast! But it does get squirrelly and tends to lose speed deeper in the run. — cliffordshaw
  • Killer line up guys.... Great team shots! — Traction-Event
  • What's #50/8? Love it. — Finkle_and_Sons
  • Finkle it great to have you racing! #50/8 is a "sugar caddy" from 1971, I think it was the best year for hot wheels — cliffordshaw
  • Thanks, Clifford! — Finkle_and_Sons

I just want to make sure we have all the entrants. Is there anyone who sent cars that hasn't had them confirmed yet?

Team photos are updated, the edits sometimes take a while to process. Delta6s car numbers are 61 and 62 and Rallycase's are 50 and 51

  • Where was that Sugar Caddy for the Beater Redline series? — FOTF
  • I thought it was too clean to qualify as a beater! — cliffordshaw

It looks like the most popular make was Cadillac with 4 entries.

Hello Everyone. Last night we were able to host the first race! It was full of close racing action. The bracket was randomly seeded with each team having one entry on each side of the bracket to avoid racing ourselves. 24 is an odd bracket so in the first round 8 cars are eliminated to form a 16 car bracket and then single elimination from there. I did post the point standings, but i blocked it from public view so that there are no spoilers. I'll reopen it after i finish updating the points. 5 points for the winner, 4 for second, 3 for third, 2 for 4th and 1 point for the 5-8th place finishers,

The video took me all day to make, just learning how to work with iPhone and macs.... Its still processing through youtube as of this moment. If its still not up, just keep checking throughout the day!

  • I know you can post vids longer than 15 min, you just need to change your settings — Traction-Event
  • Thanks TE, video is up — Mcjiggles9
  • My wife secretly taped my reaction to the final and posted it to Redlinederbyracing's Facebook page — JDC442
  • Nice flooring. — MoHasAFastCar
  • The slo-mo really shows what a speed killer wiggling is. — MoHasAFastCar
  • My first race. Glad it made it to the finish line. :) — Finkle_and_Sons
  • Awesome job on the race and the video! — Diecast64

Rail to rail, and off the rails action!!! Fantastic racing!!! Very close, and the first shots have been officially fired in the World Race!  Very fast rookies and vetrans alike. Looooong and low drop track in CT made for some good side by side,  and come from behind racing. With the slo-mo you can really see the cars moving around in the lane. Kudos to Mcjiggles ,and Clifford Shaw for the video!

Just watched JDC reaction video... great entertainment! I'm glad he and I have the same viewing habits... edge of seat, and cheering the cars on the whole way. As it should be.  Grown men getting wrapped up in diecast racing...  I'm coming for ya!
