Great jump track!  Can you please upload some videos and more details about the Baja track?

Also, what exactly defines a "custom"?  Does that mean drilled rivets, or does that mean anything at all done to modify a car for speed (including graphite)?

  • IMO graphite is just an additive to a stocker, if nothing has been done to the car itself. — KandORacing

The baja track is in the process of being built.  Should have some pics/video in a week or two.  It will be the last race of the season.  You don't have to send in all your cars right at the start.  You can build your team throughout the season.  Although I know sending them all at once will save on shipping.

I'm planning the baja track to be 32 feet.  The surface will mostly be 60 grit sandpaper.  Lots of rollers and small jumps.  Probably one of the most important things for your car will be to have high clearance.

For the couple of races that require stock cars, the cars shouldn't have had anything to done to them to modify for speed.  So custom would be anything that is done to modify a car for speed.

Cars for Rally Case and Weber Cabin Racing ship on Thursday for King of the Hill opener

You can't win, if you don't enter...  I'll have some cars in the mail by Monday.

Excited to see your cars coming in!  Here is a link to a site I'm going to try to use to keep track of teams and points.  It's not built for exactly what I want it to do (I had to put the tracks in as teams) but I think it should work.

http://hwrl.leaguerepublic.com/l/fg/1_58638837.html

Check it out and see what you think.  Also if you want a "Team Name" that is different than your RLD username let me know.  If you have a logo you would like me to use with your team send it to me or post it here so I can grab it.

So, cars can be "subbed" or replaced mid season? per race different cars can be selected, as long as they meet the specific race requirements? correct?

If you send in a team of cars, before each race you can tell me which cars you want to race. You can only race up to six different cars... So officially that is your team. If you have a car on your "team" that hasn't raced yet and you happen onto a new car that would be perfect for an upcoming race, you may send that car in and dump one that hasn't raced, but once a car has raced, it's on the team and counts as one of the six. It can race again if you choose, but does not need to. You get to pick which cars run before each race. Hopefully that makes sense with regards to the subbing and replacing Traction-Event mentioned above.

CCRider,

I assume keeping track of everyone's team will be a pain in the rear (at least it would be for me) and the inclusion of stocks make team color schemes problematic.  I have been playing with the idea of placing some kind of unifying stickers (probably Happy Faces) on my team cars.  Would that be helpful or do you already have a way to keep everything organized?

Has box from CT arrived yet?

  • Got 'em. Check out team pages at http://hwrl.leaguerepublic.com/l/team/101713587/859937170.html — Diecast64

  • Thanks CC rider. RLD racers will recognize these mods. Will figure out stocks this month and send — cliffordshaw

Two cars from FOTF and two from K&O left yesterday afternoon; they're supposed to arrive by Friday.  K&O's do have K&O stickers on them, and mine have FOTF stickers; however, one of the stickers is seen backwards and is under one or more layers of tape, so feel free to put another on over it if you have a spare sticker around and it would make it easier.

I sent in the Latest but Not Necessarily Greatest Spidervan (a stock Dodge, like the one I sent in to the carded pinkslips race--only this one's faster) and the Graduation Monopoly Silverado (which is modified).  I'm hoping to have these two race in the first two races (King of the Hill and Team Race), and I'll try to have the rest of my team there by next month.

Will I be able to have some of my team shipped back to me before the end of the season, or do they have to wait until October?  I shouldn't NEED those two any time soon, but this might help me to decide what else to send in.

  • Spidervan? mine is 100g...? — Traction-Event
  • Like I said, this one's a Dodge; yours is a Chevy (and it's probably faster). — FOTF
  • The Chevy Spidervan is the 100g, the Dodge is about 75 (I think?) — KandORacing
  • Yeah, it was pretty close to that; I know I weighed it to make sure it was less than 85. — FOTF
  • Cool! I'll be looking for them! Sure, we can work something out if you need cars back before the end. — Diecast64
  • Thanks, CCR! I'll see how my team does on a local track or two and go from there. — FOTF
