HWRL Championship Series
Did the FOTF and K&O cars show up today? They were supposed to be there by Friday.

I've been building the baja track in pieces. Hoping it will start to come together this week. Here are some pics of some of the features. This one is going to be a fun one...and challenging!

I have two in the mail for the 1st race this Sat. Supposed to be there Thursday or Friday.
Are you ready for some racing! The first race in the HWRL Championship Series is set to get underway on Saturday night. I'll won't get to racing the cars until late Saturday night after I get the kids to bed, so results and video won't be posted until Sunday. I'll try to get pictures up soon. Still waiting on a few cars.
This race is all about speed. No luck of the draw. No going out early. This will be a timed event. Each race will be a random match-up with each car getting 4 runs, 2 in each lane. The slowest time will be thrown out and the other three will be averaged together. Let's see who has the fastest cars!

Just to wet your appetite...I took the cars I have so far and had a little "unofficial" distance contest last night just to see what kind of rollers we have.
Official race tonight with results tommorow. Hope this will tide you over till then. :)

The results are in!
First let me say that this was super fun! There were some really fast cars entered in this race and track records were falling like crazy! Traction Event finished in the first two places scoring 10 points in the overall standings. FOTF had a great showing with a 3rd and 6th place finish scoring 8 points. K&O Racing had both cars finish in the Top 5 scoring 7 points. Rounding out the top ten were G-Force Racing, 9.81 Racing and Red Rock racing, scoring 4, 3, and 1 point respectively. (Just a note about the team standings page. The "results" page may look a bit funny. The way I have to record them to make the site work for me is to match up each team with a track. So the "score" that you see is how many points you scored for your team verses 0 for the track. Mostly I'm just using the site for team pics, and standings, but "match results" show up first on the home page. Just scroll down and click on the standings tab next to the "results" tab right above the list of match results. Hopefully that makes sense.
Also remember that only one car scores points for your team, but the second car still takes a place, so nobody gets those points. For example, TE took 1st and 2nd, so he scored 10 for his team for the first place finish, but nobody got the 9 points for second, so by taking that place, he stretched out his lead a little.)

- The series that Kenny came in is interesting; the wheels are built rather like JL wheels (hubcap separate from tire and covering axle). — FOTF
My two stock entries are two of the most famous stockers..... a JL BWF '69 Camaro, and a JL purple '71 Challenger R/T. As for mods, I am going to get my 83g Aeroflash sent out (still tinkering on the other mod).
