Redline Revival official entry thread
Here's a preview of a nifty car I built in 45 minutes: Goldenrod de Triomphe. It's weighs 57 grams from the fishing weights that look like two warheads and a grenade in the back. Being windowless, less air molecules have to be pushed away from the car. I still have to put some graphite in its axles. Could it be used to replace Alga in the revamped race (if it can be shipped on time before changes are made to the next race)?
@ Tracksurgeon, if this were a normal series where the cars are shipped to a new track each weekend... this would be possible. But this is a one stop race, save the car and the shipping for another event. I understand the want to improve, but my timing does not allow for another week.
C-10 is correct the race will happen today, and with luck the video will be done late tonight or tomorrow.
Ok, some 1st race notes from me... All the cars look amazing, this is what I had envisioned when this idea was born.
Look at all the cars that took one win from #77 Demon and that car came in second... very tight field. JDC's rides had epic back and forth battles with C-10 and CCrider. CCrider has a fast hot rod...just could not catch a break.
@Delta6, YES! Huge congrats!!! Your car was consistent all day, solid runs. We are all chasing you.
The low and slow track will showcase the cars that roll well, weight not as big a factor here to keep the cars rolling. smooth, low friction cars will rise to the top.

Ok, here is the finale of the Revival race... I''l have some comments, and wrap up tomorrow. Due to the video length...Youtube would not upload it in HD... so i tried for a few hours to sort that out and could not. Sorry the quality is not better. I did add more lighting, and white dots on the roof's of the dark cars.

ditto on the delta 6 grats... loved the "pinks" race... bunch of tight races... great video TE the extra light and white dots worked fine... i dig the light base at halfway as it gave me an idea if one of the cars had enough track left to come back...
the sloppy jalopies cars faded quick, but the sloppy stopper seemed to work good, thanks for the pub, and the fun TE...

DELTA 6 is the Redline Revival Champ. 1st series win...and a tough one to earn in this competitive field. The low track let a few cars get close to Delta's pink Jet threat, even showing him a few losses. But in the end his car was too strong for us and left the rest of us in his wake on the way to the top. Double elimination made for some long videos, I'll need to accept for that next time around. Need to improve on final quality.
The rest of us have been put on notice as those West Coast boys put on a show, Only C-10 representing the East Coast built cars that could score points against them.

When I'm really organized (which only happens a out half the time), I try to shoot the match up pics with the cars on the side of the track that they will be starting on...on my track, the car on the left starts in the near lane, the one on the right, the far....yours would be flipped (running the other way)
