Redline Revival official entry thread
The Dirty Bird, and the Cougar Mad Mod on the way with the Grudge wager 57 Chevy.
We had a windstorm today but not as bad as the one we had 3 weeks ago. Over 800 trees were blown over then and power was knocked out to over 180,000 homes. Anyhow the roof of the mail distribution center was damaged then and damaged more completely today and it is shut down so out going mail could be delayed several days or several weeks. I am unsure about incoming mail. I will try my best to get my car to you on time..........Stroller.
- Hang in there man! I'm sure they are gonna be OK! how's go again,? through rain, nor snow... the mail WILL go through... something like that — CrzyTrkrDude
- USPS will always try to get mail in on time even if they have to travel to Mordor in the Middle Earth. — Brakefluid_Tracksurgeon
Found a lot of 4 Chaparrals for only $7. They're lightweight but real aerodynamic.
Have you guys hears that Gas Monkey Garage is doing a custom job on a Hot Wheels Custom Corvette tonight?
Kinda fits in with this race! :)
- NICE! But, isn't kinda a slap in the face of whatever company is doing their cars? — CrzyTrkrDude
- Greenlight? ( I know G/L has no real vintage stuff per say... but still, it's all about revenue for most. — CrzyTrkrDude
- I say, GO MONKEY GO!! BUILD THOSE HOT WHEELS!! Fergit those G/L people! lol — CrzyTrkrDude
no time... but i dropped a Superfine Turbine body less engine and rear fenders onto a headerless Way 2 Fast Base... added a trimmed '29 Pick Up box... DOWNRIGHT NASTY
Just so I understand the only change allowed is the wheels and axles. Wheelbase body and chassis are not modified or changed out. Is that correct?
- I've been confused on this race since day one myself. I asked that question the day the official race was posted. — CrzyTrkrDude
OKay, to help clear this up... I forget that we have new racers, and should have been more clear.
Redline revival race, any original Hot Wheels redline can be entered, 57g max weight, you can modify the car body, or chassis as you see fit. No original bearing type Redline wheels and axles. The race will be double elimination, two different tracks, and only the top 4 cars will score points...
Grudge match race, this is for those of you who do not want to cut up a fast Original Hot Wheels redline car. If you want to send in a stock car and challenge anyone else who has entered, go ahead. side bets, negotiate car lengths.. have at it I will match these cars up and video these races as sort of a pre-game entertainment to the main race.
If this is not clear please let me know.
Just finished testing the Eliminator. Was hoping it would be the fastest car I'd made to date...
Sad to say, I was disappointed.
Oh well, perhaps it will still take down a few of yous guys ;)
Here's my two best cars: the Strip Teaser (Goldenrod) and a Monte Carlo Stocker (Cassius). Cassius was made in less than ten minutes, has not being given any weight nor does it have FTEs but it's the second fastest car I have.
sent a vic n' heap to pinckney this am... forgot the 2 orange land rovers... next time TE...
Well lookey here....
I picked this up at Salvation Army in a plastic bag of little toys. I opened the bag in the store and gave everything else to a little boy in the store.

Please tell me this is a legal entry.....I think it is......Smittys Neet Streeter did not get here today. I will work on this one and try to send in both. Is the cut off date the 15th or the 31st?
- The cutoff date for entering the race is the 15th. — Brakefluid_Tracksurgeon
- As stated before I will race these cars between Christmas and New Years. The 15th date was to help you all with the crazy shipping season — Traction-Event
- does it have "Vintage" stamped into the base? — CrzyTrkrDude
